As expected, the cost will come in more than expected - $42.99 a month.

Subscribers to Venu will have access to linear sports networks, including ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SECN, ACCN, ESPNEWS, ABC, FOX, FS1, FS2, BTN, TNT, TBS, truTV, as well as ESPN+.

If games are on any other network, you will need to pay for them separately.

Disney, Fox and Warner Sports Streamer Venu to Launch at $42.99/ Month

I'd love to see ESPN and ABC split off from Disney.

Disney too busy playing politics. Walt must be shaking his head

    Right here
I’m paying $70 a month for YouTubeTV, which is a nice product, but if I mostly have it just for sports. If Venu has a good DVR function, I’m interested.

I mean at $23/month more you'd get your money's worth out of just a few hours of watching something that isn't a sport event. I fail to really see the value proposition here. We're not talking hundreds of dollars a month.

It's not even guaranteed to have every game you'd want to see.

Good point, dopy. Though $23 dollars could purchase two other streaming services, but it may still not be worth it.

Just get cable, have all the regular channels and no need to manage different apps and bills

I don't know. YouTube TV is cheaper than my cable was years ago when I had it stopped. I went to Hulu but they kept raising prices and I switched to YouTube TV which is cheaper and nice . . . especially with the unlimited DVR feature. I guess some places cable is still competitively priced but not around here. Pay more, get less. LOL! :)

We have directtv stream, and the prices have nearly caught up to what we used to pay for cable, but I still like the flexibility it gives me. I can take my service with me in a ziploc bag anywhere I go that has wifi. We still use several other streaming services too. We trade a lot with friends and family, so we all have access to a dozen apps even though individually we may only pay for one or two. Several are included with our normal directtv sub for free. Some we get access to through cell providers and other similar offers.

I finally cut the cable last month..went with You Tube TV...my internet got up graded too... and saving $100 a month now..and have free streaming apps too..watching what I want, when I want, record what I want, and I am thrilled..I didn't watch half the channels I had thru cable, and paid way too much...I was nervous to change as I used cable for ages..I am now used to streaming..wish I had done this a long time ago..
