You know that's untrue. There was nothing ever linking Hillary's campaign to that hideous rumor. Her supporters? Maybe, but not her
@Gatorrick22 I see you disagree but feel free to provide a link showing otherwise. I'm open to being wrong
Starting the birther thing is a cop-out... She is hiding behind semantics... she said those words in public, and that's the point. She questioned Obama's citizenship, and he were both running for the Dem nomination for POTUS. I SAW IT ON VIDEO WHEN IT HAPPENED. NO amount of video scrubbing by the Dems tech-puppets will change that.
Actually, what many people don’t know is that black and Indian is a very common mixed race amongst Jamaican people. It’s kind of an offensive term but we affectionately call them “coolie”. I didn’t know it’s considered a slur growing up, and I don’t use it any more but it was just how you described a Jamaican black and Indian mixed person. My best friend is such a person. Dude is like a brother to me. He always identified as black and was considered black. I am 1/4 Jamaican and 3/4 Haitian if you go by my grandparents nationality. I know about these things better than your typical American.
I didn't notice it at first, but when you expand the OP link, Laura Loomer is using the same disgusting attack that D'Souza tried in 2020 ... Kamala Harris's greatx4 grandmother might have been raped by slave owner Hamilton Brown. That was something her father once said. So the attack was to claim Harris comes from a line of slave owners. Shameful and disgusting. Trevor Noah's response to D'Souza : "Being descended partly from a slave owner is one of the blackest things that can happen to a person". Clips of "same shit, different day" can be found here at this Daily Show link from 2020: Republicans, please keeps this up. 2020 was decided by Atlanta, Philly, Detroit, and Milwaukee. Let's do it again!
That’s awesome and one of the reasons I love this board. I literally knew none of that as a white dude who grew up in UGA territory.
Always worth asking these folks how a slaveowner would have a mixed race baby. It rhymes with the word "grape."
I woman I know from Trinidad told me that Indians were the largest ethnic group there. Had no idea, so I looked it up. Yep, but not by much.
A “coolie” is typically a railway porter or an unskilled laborer and is an offensive term in former British colonies. They usually referred to slaves and plantation workers brought to the Caribbean from India and other South Asian countries.
Lots of Indians were taken by the British to work in the sugar plantations in the Caribbean and in rubber plantations in Malaysia. These nations have large ethnic Indian populations.
A lone known wacko writes a wacko tweet and gets it attributed to the entire GOP, republicans and the right on this thread. But oddly it was the left that brought it to the spotlight and so far most of the right leaning posters have distanced themselves from such foolishness.
