Yeah, no. With all of her many other contradictions (policy aside), I’m not going to give her Carte Blanche to remake herself into something she is clearly not. In the end, her true views will win out, whether you understand how that works or not. She may not ban fracking, but she’ll initiate a regulation that comes close to effectively doing the same. The old Potomac Two Step.

Good ad. I’m curious about the campaign’s obvious decision to use the term “liberal” for her and not “radical.” Trump is the only one really using the term radical more often than not. Vance is sticking with “liberal” and the ad follows suit. Just a small observation. I’m sure there is some calculation there.

Looks more like the ad is intended to mobilize voters already predisposed to vote for Trump than to convince undecided persuadable voters. If the former is that's intended purpose it's probably effective. As far as persuadables are concerned it wouldn't surprise me to see ads from the Harris campaign pointing out that Trump blocked the most consequential border security legislation in decades with the emphasis that the bill was endorsed by the head of the union representing Border Patrol agents possibly including his statement that the bill could significantly reduce unauthorized crossings.

Do you think Trump will get a lot of support from Russia in this election also, like he did in the past?

This is a very well-produced podcast called Lie Detector. It comes in four parts and is true investigative journalism. I believe the left, right, and middle will enjoy. Would be interested hearing from the attorneys on the board.

“His understanding of global events, his understanding of global history, his understanding of U.S. history was really limited. It’s really hard to have a conversation with someone who doesn’t even understand the concept for why we’re talking about this,” Tillerson said in a lengthy interview with Foreign Policy conducted prior to Wednesday’s assault on the Capitol that was published this week.
    ....................

He explained that he started “taking charts and pictures with me because I found that those seemed to hold his attention better.”

“If I could put a photo or a picture in front of him or a map or a piece of paper that had two big bullet points on it, he would focus on that, and I could build on that,” Tillerson told the outlet. “Just sitting and trying to have a conversation as you and I are having just doesn’t work.”

Asked by Foreign Policy how Trump made informed decisions if the president had a hard time focusing during briefings and didn’t read briefing material, Tillerson didn’t hesitate.
“Well, that’s the key,” he said. “I’m not sure many of those decisions were well-informed.”

She dumbs it down intentionally, because her base won't understand the technicals. She feigns empathy for the downtrodden and offers platitudes at their level in which they simply trust that she has their back. But she doesn't get into the details of what's actually going on, because that would be too much for her base to comprehend and it would also betray weaknesses in her policy.

That's what I see here. I don't think Kamala Harris is this stupid. She's appealing to her base with these empty platitudes.

^ gave that a 'funny' rating because all we can really do is laugh, at this point.

People are actually willing to vote for that guy. :)

What does he know about running a worldwide enterprise worth hundreds of billions with business deals with all kind of gubmnts know anyway?
I'm sure there are some bigger than ExxonMobil but few more complicated or with so much physical assets at risk in so many challenging places.

    5. There were 5 companies in the world across all industries with more revenue than ExxonMobile when he stepped away. Currently it is #8 in terms of revenue. Between #2 and #12 if you look at profitability (depending on which metric) versus the top line. But what does that loser know? But yeah, China and Saudi Arabia’s state controlled oil companies are ahead of Exxon on the list, so it wasn’t the largest oil company. Trump could have made it #1. Sad.

I lived in Georgia when our governor was called zig zag Zell. I don’t understand why it is wrong to change your opinions based on new information or increase in your power.

I 100% support Kamala for flopping like a fish out of water on that policy. She started with an ideological policy (nobody wants the world to be dependent on fossil fuels) and used the data / pragmatism / and public opinion to flip to the correct answer.
