I think it's too late for him to drop Vance although maybe he can convince Vance to withdraw. That being said he would never pick Haley. Unlike a number of other presidential candidates Trump's ego and desire for vindictiveness is such that he would never select a candidate who had the audacity to challenge him in the primaries especially one like Nikki Haley who continued to attack Trump especially after he had effectively became the party's nominee.
I think he picked him since his name is Vance, and it sounds similar to Pence. That’s how Trump’s brain works.

When I first posted this it was mostly tongue in cheek but I am now hearing real speciation that it may happen, and that Trump campaign was consulting lawyers to make sure there is no issues dropping VP once already nominated. Last time that happened was McGoverns first VP pick Eagleton who was revealed to have had mental illness and prior electroshock therapy - he dropped off after about 18 days after nomination.
She has plenty of baggage... like open borders and wanting to legalize all those MILLIONS of illegals on day one. She wants the Green New Deal that will kill hundreds of thousands of American jobs, and even Janet Yellen said that would cost us 3 trillion dollars PER YEAR until 2040 or there about. We cannot afford Harris... who want to hydronic fracturing to get oil from the ground. Again, hundreds of thousands of jobs would be lost. She is the most radical of all the Dems that ran 4 years ago, and she has not changed one bit.
