And their you have it. If there was ever any doubt, this "game" is now just an auction, for the billionaires. Smh
Or they could cough up some monumental moolah and give us our classic shade of blue back. I generally try not to hold a grudge beyond the point that it serves a useful purpose.
I still have my Gator Starter jacket that I bought at Goody's on SW Archer near the ol' Steak-n-Shake while I was a student in the mid-90s. It has the old Albert embroidered on the back. Memories!
I’m at least not surprised as that what I thought it was all along. Guess it hit a few like a freight train
My apologies for giving an inactive/date thread a bump. Today I did a little digging on this character and boy was I surprised. I am referring to a referrence to "The Yellow Wood Guy" or "The Yella Fella"; His TV commercials appeared on TV decade or two ago. Mostly on Saturday's during SEC Footbal telecasts. On my research I found out that he was more than a TV pitch man. The name of this pitch TV actor is Jimmy Rane. Jimmy on his TV commercials may looked and acted like a buffoon, but this was just an act. His real job and still is the CEO of Great Southern Wood Preserving. Jimmy is an Auburn University Graduate and a Samford University Law Grad. He is also a Billionaire (1.4 B). He and his brother transformed the family lumber treating business from $22,000 a year (1977 sales) to $2 Billion in annual sales. Here is a photo Jimmy Rane, AKA "Yellawood Guy" And another photo.
Elon Musk transferred to the University of Pennsylvania like Trump did after starting college elsewhere. Would be humorous if Elon bought top athletes to IVY league on NIL deals. Pay everyone a million a year on basketball ship at UPenn and suddenly become a blue blood program.
Older I get the more I care about function and less I care about form. A designer from Brooks went to New Balance a few years back. The Brooks shoe I used went to a crappier design that had less support and broke down faster. The New balance shoe in that line was now better. With that said, New Balance doesn't even try to look stylish other than to the 1980s Dad look crowd. Yeesh
My business partner wears them to work every day because they’re comfortable, but I can’t bring myself to it
