our system failed when the senate refused to impeach and punish djt.

the McConnell court is just helping to solidify the control. delaying the votes should have been codified or criminal

What now? This proposal is about SCOTUS term limits. They don't run for office.

Nice diversion, but even the judges are nominated and approved by the elected.

Mrs. Masich in Tampa. Darn, I can remember that, but not Logan's Run. God bless selective memory. :)

Not if you want an honest search without a bunch of paying customers pushing everything down. I use google for things like the Gators where Google always gives me the schedule, roster, what channel the game is on, etc. all in one stop. DDG doesn't do that because it's basically what Google was 20 years ago and will just give you links.

Thanks for the DDG advertisement. And, so the answer to whether the largest search engine is diverting/directing traffic is . . .? It's ok. You don't need to avoid the truth. But, I have no doubt you will find another "clever" diversion.

Well, they have been for decades and for the worst reason possible, $$$$$. But now you're all surprised and outraged. . . How convenient.

I agree and it would be healthy and transparent- but that is not what the rule/law makers want. So much the money is dark money i.e. money coming from PACs through other PACs that do not have to reveal their donors - and don’t.

Maybe the spirit of Woodward and Bernstein need to be rekindled then. Where there's a will, there's a way. Unfortuantely, the PR Hacks. . . er, media, have no interest.

They’d be discredited through hyperbole (“fake news”), and then doxed and canceled by the rabid MAGA, and the story would end up being a split of believers and disbelievers.

In addition, it doesn't fit the Days of Our Lives narratives most people want to hear. Dig into the details on almost any subject and people - especially those on the extremes (MAGA) - tune out. Or, actually get mad that you've complicated the simplistic narrative they've bought into.

If anything, I think the irony here is that the replacement of Biden with Kamala demonstrates how Americans don’t need term limits to terminate an administration.

IDK. That one felt like it was in the process of terminating itself for about a year or more.

It’s just politics. Just like what the republicans did with Garland. Why did Biden pick 18 years? Look at the three people on the Supreme Court that have been there for more than 18 years.

Hail Mary shot from Biden and extremely hypocritical after he served for 5 decades until his donors pushed him aside and (I’ll give him credit) he acknowledged those concerns.

It is a fascinating intellectual debate on term limits, but this is just Biden and the dems being bitter because the Republicans stacked the court. It will go nowhere, and I’ll die on that hill. This is not going to get passed anywhere close to it’s current form. Political stunt to motivate the pro choice (and I’m pro choice) movement.

If Biden cared about Presidential Immunity he would focus solely on that. I wish he would have gone that route.
