idk if that really makes sense on a lot of levels. 1. Eastern Europe has almost no say on negotiations. 2. They’re probably the last ones to want fighting to stop in anything other than a victory for Ukraine.

The F-16's have already had a positive effect. Russia is scared sh!tless of them. Russia has been wasting bombs left and right to crater every runway in Ukraine they can find.

It's going to be a while before Ukraine has enough trained pilots to fly a significant number of sorties to make a major impact in the ground war. Even a half dozen planes could cause some problems for the Kerch Bridge or the Russian navy & ports on the Black Sea, however.

I think that Ukraine should paint the next runways they build green, and paint shrubs and trees on them. Then have an underground bunker for the planes at the end of the runway.

 

I would make an exception for Hungary and the dictator-worshipper Orban. He won't get worried until Russia is on his doorstep, and then he will squeal for someone to save him.

 

Time to let President Trump take over this. Between Ukraine and the Middle East, it just gets worse every time I open the news app.

 

I would also like to point out again that there is much we could do to signal our willingness to actively support Ukraine short of directly putting bombs on Russians. It does not have to jump straight to intervention. For a historical example, I would offer some of the actions the Reagan Administration took between 1986 to 1988 to signal Iran that we would not let them conquer Iraq. Iran ended up abandoning its objectives for complete victory (and they were unquestionably winning in early 1986) and accept a status quo antebellum.

 

Um yes. To the extent that they keep getting aid yes. Aid gets pulled options are limited.

The coalition to destroy ISIS was made in 2014. Multiple admins contributed to that. Listen the Abraham accords were solid step in the right direction - but were made in a time of "peace" - which we don't have right now. And further, if the war continues, the accords may end up being meaningless given public sentiment. Regardless, what is the trump admin going to do to stop the war? Nothing good long term - because his official position has been to fully support Israel no matter what. So he'll send Jared to cut a deal. He has been quoted as saying Israel should get on with it and they are losing the PR war - so what he will probably do is something really radical to appease Israel - like allowing them to annex more land - which while it may end the war in short term, it makes things harder in the long term. The more the US does stuff like that the less able they are to be a peace broker in the region. It's one of the reasons I really don't like trump as a president. He is more wiling than even most other politicians (already a selfish bunch) to sacrifice the long term for short term individual benefits. The deal in Afghanistan is a perfect example of that kind of thinking.

I love how you make things up as you go. You live in a fantasy world. Trump would be involved directly with any peace deal. Suggesting he would "send Jared to cut a deal" is just your latest manifestation of TDS. If nothing else, Trump is going to want to have his name all over any peace deal so that he can gloat about it for years.

You have no basis for suggesting Trump's solution to end the war will be to allow Israel to annex more territory. That being said, Israeli occupation of Gaza makes the most sense in the short and medium term as there doesn't seem to be a better solution to eradicating Hamas unless there is a coalition of special forces. But formally annexing? Again, that's your TDS and Netanyahu hate coming out. Nobody is expecting that. The rest of your post is silly hatred. You're unable to give credit where it's due.
