Taylor is going to be glad RED is on the team. I watch her twice today against good competition. She was very impressive and fun to watch.when she get the ball from the catcher she readed to pitch in five seconds.
No way….everything I read said she’s a lefty. I must’ve been on one exciting timeline……saw it on the UF site. R/R. What a drag … kinda lol
Katelynn (Red) definitely works fast. I was amazed of the different pitches she can throw. Wait till Coach Prothro can fine tune her.
My wife and I are 82 and started watching softball on TV back when Stacy Nelson was pitching against Texas A & M May25-26, 2007. Suffered through single camera days and running HDMI cable from lap top to TV. It didn’t take long before we couldn’t wait for SB season to start. It has now got to the point that football and basketball are just something to do until February first pitch! I’m hoping someone will solve the problem with video so we won’t have to miss any home games. I’d be happy to have someone hang a phone on the backstop than missing a game. BTW. At UF 1960-61. Didn’t make grades. FSU Grad (‘65.) ALWAYS A GATOR!!!
I love Stacey, but Lauren is heads above any other UF softball player. No one is even close to her pitching and hitting.
With all due respect to Porsche....I just finished watching the tape of the PGF All American game. Red has just flat out completely blown me away. I am off the cliff. This kid is simply dominant. National Championship game....All-American game for three innings after six in the previous game the same day. Nine innings. 14 strike outs against the best competition. Mercado kids simply couldn't touch her. All-American kids couldn't touch her. The kid is a bull in the circle. You watch her and it is obvious this kid doesn't think anyone, anywhere, can hit her. After seeing this, I will be shocked if Keagan and Red aren't 1 and 1A next year. Edit: Watching the rest of the game...Red gets to hit and grounds out and flexes for the crowd, as she did in the championship game. This kid is a piece of work and going to be a ton of fun to watch.
Yeah, and Skylar and Amanda but in my book they’re 1B. In my orbit Stacey was 1A. Just an astonishing player.
Interesting that Heavener never pitched in the All-American game. I did not know she had arm surgery. Obviously, she was able to pitch this past year in high school. I do not know what she did this summer in travel. Seems strange she would not pitch at all in this game.
IF, I was starting a team, Lauren H is my first recruit. Stacey and Skylar would be next. Hannah right after them. Another great year and Jocey is my catcher over Aubrey (never thought I would say that). I have the middle covered and from there you build the rest. I am 73 and have been to 80% of the home games since 2004 I even made the series 6 days after my heart attack. Still have FB first but SB has moved into second..
