Ehhh you’ll find a lot more accurate news on X than on all the mainstream media. But rumors run wild on there for sure
I think “stupid” is probably a bit too far of a criticism. We don’t know his intelligence level… it could be very high for all we know. Also, perhaps, there should be an element of “past tense” ascribed to your assessment. Maybe he was immature, but has matured lately. It’s possible he hasn’t, but he’s a Gator now, and I think we should give him some time to grow and be mindful of our words about our fellow Gator in public. I don’t think you were bashing him, BTW. I’m just speaking out loud.
I agree Murph. Look the kid got arrogant and carried away. Got caught up in the adulation and recruiting rankings. OK, so I am not a psychologist and certainly don't have any real info. but it just seems to me it went to his head and then he signs with the mouthest social media braggert coach on earth. Then reality bites. I did not appreciate his conduct when he blew the Gators off, but I have no doubt the kid had a nice feast of humble pie to deal with by the time he left Colorado. If he conducts himself properly and does the work the staff requires of him, I got no further beef.
It started with a report from a local podguy who may not have gotten it quite right in the first place. The "story" was then picked up and embellished beyond all recognition by the usual carrion eaters.
Lol... I was just thinking about him. He's a good guy, and sometimes they just into an article that maybe he should have verified first. NDT should have our coaches' cellphone numbers...
It's only fair to point out that the modern CFB news ethos is largely predicated on hot takes served up fresh and steamy - and that Nick didn't invent the current media environment. Nor did he gin anything up from whole cloth. Billy said it was blown out of proportion, but that also indicates that there was some substance to the initial report. The subsequent assholery that has been called out everywhere was totally inexcusable. All of which is very disappointing for me because 'til now, I thought I could count on what I saw and read on line.
