I also think we could outperform expectations, but, certainly not because it's not a daunting schedule.

The back end of the schedule is daunting, no doubt, but the first five games are winnable. Plus 4 out of the 5 are at home. Beating Miami is paramount, would kick the season off on a very good note.

 

Totally agree. Almost none of the games on the schedule are actually unwinnable, and a good start is important for both overall final schedule, as well as the soothing of the savage fan. But, to say the schedule isn't that daunting when it's being considered the toughest schedule in the country was a stretch.

 

My fantasy scenario vs Miami is that Gators receive kickoff and take the ball on the 25. Billy starts in 12 personnel and runs it twice to the 30. Third and 5. Billy trots out 12 personnel to scattered boos. Mertz fakes handoff and launches 70 yd BOMB to Wilson. Florida goes on to win 59-0. Billy steps up to the post-game podium and calmly says "NEXT!"

Man am I ever jacked up for this season! Starting to feel it. Also, with some commentators actually giving a little positive talk time towards the Gators, that has me even more excited.

For the coaches, the players and the fans- I hope this year proves Billy was the right hire as we all witness the foundational strategy is absolutely coming to fruition and working.
