My was watching it. She said there was drag stuff pretty prominent. Not unsure about the exact scene.

She never watches political news, isnt on twitter and doesnt read this forum.

Most if us are dudes who have no interest in this thing, but millions of people saw this. It wasn't some obscure social media uncovering.

It isn't obscure, but I didn't realize this was supposed to be a last supper thing until someone on Too Hot starts a thread citing someone's (I've never heard of) interpretation.

But to anyone looking, it was obvious. They were depicting works of art and history. That was known, so what else would it be? It took zero imagination to figure out knowing the theme of the night .

I didn’t see the clip in the op during prime time coverage. They showed the group, but not their reenactment of The Last Supper. I believe nbc edited that out.

I saw a member of French Parliament apologized to the world for the bad representation of France.

Again BCG, thank you for voicing reason.
There is no reason to try and defend this unless you hate religious people or are being political.

It was the exact same thing that the left claims the right does.

So let me echo their words
"Stop forcing your beliefs down my throat". ;)

Maybe that's why I didn't notice the reference to the Last Supper, it was edited out.

Or value freedom of expression. Personally, I don't care for it, but I'm also not gonna get in a twist about it.

Funny enough, I clicked on the trending topic and found multiple monarchists outraged about it.

As Americans, we can all come together and celebrate the triumph of censorship over free expression

Lol, this isn't really bigotry though, is it? If i understand, it was like...for about 10 seconds some performers were in the positioning of Da Vinci's Last Supper painting?

Big deal. Complaining about this is worse whining IMO than people getting bent over a picture of Allah. Maximum snowflaketry.

Unless I haven't followed well. Something different happen?

Yes, the gay stuff was obvious. I meant the Lord's Supper pose specifically.

If the generic gay stuff offended anyone ... too bad. This was France's show ... and I'm taking it they are move accepting of the alternative lifestyles.

Also, I'm not really very in on any anti-religious posting. No matter what you may believe.

Which is actually something, in light of how many religious people are all-in lately on voting for scumbags, criminals, adulterers, authoritarians, or some combination or perhaps even all. Just look at here, the BJP in India, Netanyahu, and probably many other places.

Religions seem to not always be well represented by their followers lately.

Yeah I don’t really see what’s so bad about it? I could see how it’s an homage to a painting. There are gay Christians too!
