Right-wingers often share their fantasy that most Dems are communists. This of course is total BS. There are very few people in the US advocating either Communism or Marxist Socialism. (For the naysayers, do you know anybody who is a card carrying Communist or Marxist Socialist? Neither do I.) Bernie Sanders is a Democratic Socialist, who believes in capitalism with a heart, like in Norway.
About 1/4 of norways GDP is oil and gas, mainly from North Sea reserves. To their credit they accumulate the wealth and use the income to help citizens of Norway. But it is the availability (and wise use) of the resources that buoys their overall wealth.
Sometimes, I forget there really is an entire industry built around aggressive mediocrities writing political drivel for their zealots to consume. It's sad that people buy these sorts of dumb books. But hey, there's no accounting for taste.
Thank you for an informative, constructive comment. Those are rare these days. By the way my wife and I spent 8 days in Norway at the end of May. We saw lots of offshore drilling platforms and even more windmills. And lots of fog at sea.
It looks like I really missed out, for better or worse. During my long working career, I don't recall ever being involved with or even aware of a department (or something) called human resources. Though my last job was with the Department of Corrections, and I must say that judging by some of the prison guards I dealt with, the department could have used some human resources instead of what it had.

I laugh because its sort of true, although we have an amazing young HR director who likes to come in my office and ask my opinion. (I am up the ladder, but not the top by any means). She generally has our interest in mind. It's a rare thing in HR.

I have not read the book, but my gut reaction is unhumans describes the reality of living in some kind of dystopian state when the left and its various tribal groups have won all the government power to achieve everything they have ever wanted to achieve. The title of the book definitely sounds interesting. I saw another book by the title of “The Unprotected Class” the other day that looked pretty interesting as well.
I’ve spent the last 10 days in Oregon and the next 7 will be in CA. I have detected no overall sense of dystopia and most people seem content and happy and life is otherwise normal. As is the case where I come from, TX, and most of the other states I’ve driven through. Yes, gas prices and grocery prices are higher here in the west, but there are many positive aspects also.
So, it's the communists, HR, colleges, and courtrooms that are robbing good honest people of their freedom to discriminate? wowza, what a load.
It's like when politicians write a book before they run for President. Who reads that crap? Who cares about DeSantis's or Buttigieg's memoir? I have zero doubt that most of what I read doesn't interest most folks, but it's relevant to what I do and of interest to me. Other than political staffers, who the hell considers those memoirs relevant to their lives? And that's not even getting into the idiotic demagoguery from people like Posobiec, who have accomplished nothing.
