I don't love this. Not because it offends me personally, but because I know it unnecessarily antagonizes and offends religious people. So, no... not all liberals love this sort of thing. Also, I couldn't care less about "owning" the right.

 

I was watching an Irish crime drama where a character had a similarly inspired piece of art, which included Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, JFK, and I think Michael Jordan. It made my blood boil.

Im with Murph, which you probably would have guessed too, but I do think it’s an opportunity to ponder how many people actually like this kind of thing. Several times on this forum have I seen the response to some seemingly terrible development be this: “The is what Republicans want.” But I’m guessing you would reject most of these claims. And if the left cant be trusted to know what the right wants, why should we assume that the right has an accurate view of the left?

 

I thought the right had a problem with all major sports due the woke mind virus. Shouldn't you be watching Billy Graham reruns on over the air tv?

 

A couple of comments. I would have never seen this if you had not posted it, why do you watch this kind of cr@p?

Next, in the 3 nano-seconds I spent watching the video, the Savior and Da Vinci's The Last Supper painting never entered my mind.

However, after the Tweet author made the reference, I can see how it does resemble it.

Finally, I have ZERO idea what the creators were trying to do there EXCEPT, antagonize the religious right.

I have a lesbian niece. I do not think that she is depraved, evil nor the anti-Christ incarnate. I embrace her being who she very obviously was born to be and not hiding it. However, I have advised her on numerous occasions to just not do things that antagonize people who would ordinarily just ignore you. By provoking them, you just make your own life more difficult. This seems like a case of unnecessarily provoking people and I am not a fan of it at all.

 

They were doing a bunch of living artwork stuff tying French masterpieces, music, and historical events to modern culture in Paris. They also had a headless Marie Antoinette placed in the windows of the palace where she was imprisoned before being killed singing the intro to a metal band after doing a live version of "Liberty Leading the People."
