If being a thrice married, philandering, p*ssy grabbing womanizer didn’t hurt Trump with evangelicals, I don’t think not having birthed a child will hurt Harris. Plenty of legit policy issues upon which to critique her but this is an entirely trumped up issue (pun intended).
I think he’s been divorced only twice but hey, who’s counting. Also he’s a rapist, two-impeached felon in case anyone forgot.
So when are you calling yourself out? Because you are clearly wrong about parenting from your performance on this thread.
Well, for one, you badly missed both of your guesses about how many children I have. So 0/2 on factual information.
Vance didn't simply say he thinks being a parent is an important experience to consider in choosing our political leaders. He's said that American voters who do not have children should have less of a voice in how our democracy functions. Not sure how that would be constitutional. And maybe it was "sarcasm" on his part, but he even floated giving additional votes to parents based upon how many kids they have. Imagine how much voting power the Duggar family and Nick Cannon are going to have. JD Vance Says Parents Should Have Bigger Say in Democracy Than Non-Parents. Here's the Context These children are the future of this country and yet the parents who have them actually have no advantage in our democratic process. They have a smaller voice in some ways — in very many cases — than the people who don't have any children at all. The children who come from these families have no real representative in our democracy. Why don't we change that? Now some people will say this is radical and this is crazy. The Democrats are talking about giving the vote to 16-year-olds but let's do this instead: Let's give votes to all children in this country but let's give control over those votes to the parents of those children. *** When you go to the polls in this country as a parent, you should have more power, you should have more of an ability to speak your voice in our democratic republic than people who don't have kids. Let's face the consequences and the reality: if you don't have as much of an investment in the future of this country, maybe you shouldn't get nearly the same voice. Now people will say — and i'm sure The Atlantic and The Washington Post and all the usual suspects will criticize me about this in the coming days… "Well, doesn't this mean that non-parents don't have as much of a voice as parents? Doesn't this mean that parents get a bigger say in how our democracy functions?" Yes, absolutely.
1. Raising a kid stops at adulthood. 2. That is what I was referencing as their whole life (as in up to that point) And no I don't consider most dads girlfriends to really start raising the step kids until they actually become the step kids. I again can easily twist your words into an insult to any parent that has made the lifelong sacrifice and investment when you try to equate it to a few years near the end of their upbringing. And this has nothing to do with biology. If the step mom has them from a very young age, is that not much different than a stepmom that arrives much later in their upbringing? The "step" isnt at question. The amount of time is. If an estranged biological dad finally shows up in his kids teen years/early adult years, is it insulting for anyone to say he didnt raise his kids? It isnt about biology. It's about time invested.
I completely disagree. I think that parents have an important developmental role in young adults as well. I suspect that many people in that situation would substantially disagree with you and find that notion highly insulting. The difference: I am not trying to diminish the role of either parents or step-parents. You are. In the end, your point on this thread appears to be that she has no children because she didn't raise them from when they were born. That is very insulting to step-parents. I will stick with the notion that she has children, a point on which everybody in her family agrees. I already linked Kerstin Emhoff comments. Perhaps you would believe Ella, their daughter, when she tells you that she has three parents: You can continue to diminish the role that she and other step-parents played. I will continue to find that gross.
JD Vance doubles down with Megyn Kelly interview today, stating that the future of the Democratic party: Harris, Buttigieg and AOC are all childless. Should be interesting.
Weird stance for the pro life crowd to not count adopting infant twins as having kids. Pete Buttigieg's 2 Children: All About Twins Gus and Penelope
Joke, or a reference to something? Did Trump, or someone say JDV was the 'greatest gift' or something along those lines, or are you just making fun? Serious question.
My kids are better than your kids. In fact the shit way the righties raise their kids barely makes them a father. No experience is better than bad experience. Right wing shitty fathering example #2. Elon Musk: Trans daughter was 'killed' by 'woke-mind virus'
We'll see. I don't see how this rhetoric is any worse than a candidate noting their racial makeup over and over. Or calling their opponent a cheat. It may turn out to be brilliant. It may turn out to be nothing. I'm not sure it's as dire as you seem to think, but we shall see.
It was a joke. I think he was a bad pick as he has sound bytes for days that will do nothing but go against what Trump is trying to accomplish
