How sweet that the UF had mojo on UCLA in the tourney. The Bruins had no answers for the Gators!! They can point all they want to at their amazing history but when it comes to UF, ...well, that little head to head, that don't talk about that much in tinseltown.
Walker amazed me. Gave us under 6' little people hope. Was a baller, with a heart as big as a hot air balloon. Clutch too......
What struck me the most was Wilbekin replacing Boynton (a pretty good defender himself) for the final 4 minutes for defensive purposes, despite being a freshman who was still supposed to be in high school and who was shooting abysmally. Shows you the respect Donovan had for his toughness, competitiveness, and dependability even then.
Just a few points difference, back and forth, for most of the game. But the Gators finished strong with some clutch play.
