Trump picking a mini-trump for VP isn't really a great move, it just solidifies the low info MAGA vote but doesn't draw in undecideds or expand the base at all. People, especially women and even those on the right, HATE this guy, especially after all his comments about women who don’t or can’t have children. Trump is screwed either way - if he fires him it questions his decision making that he picked him in the first place, and if he keeps him, enough people despise him that it’s going to cost him votes. There is no chance Trump wins this election as it sits right now. Buckle up, Republicans, it’s going to be another long winter for your party. Just don’t go berserk when your candidate loses again.

I hope you are right, I keep reading the “unnamed sources” type reports that campaign insiders are losing their minds over this pick…. Calling it an “arrogance pick” made at a time when it looked like Trump was steamrolling towards a win, and wanted a show of MAGA power to the base… but Vance appeals to no one other than the base and isn’t a strategic pick from an EC standpoint or an underrepresented demographic …. Momentum is all on the left right now and the right doesn’t look like they’re going to regain it. Trump wimping out of the debate with Kamala looks cowardly and weak as well.
