Whoa. I had no idea they were actually vandalizing with pro-Hamas graffiti. I thought it was a protest about the Palestinian people. So we essentially had a quasi terrorist attack on our national monuments. Stellar. Hamas is a terrorist organization funded by Iran. Our national capital was just desecrated by Iran. These aren’t spontaneous protests. They are being sponsored by Iran.
I see what you mean, he mistyped what he meant to say. He meant to say that she asked for no concessions from Hamas... like turning over all the kidnapped people they took.
Some edgelords with a can of spray paint make you think "internationally funded quasi-terror attack" ... is your brain ok? Do you cower in fear when you drive under the average overpass in a city? Run in terror at the boxcar on the train tracks?
You’ll need to argue this out with okee, because he’s already changed his story and admitted she did ask for the hostages to be released … and a ceasefire from both sides…. Those sound like concessions, and a good start. What else do you think she should have asked for?
I heard her speak, and she did NOT ask for the release of the hostages. Not when I heard her reply on this conflict.
I don’t consider the release of the hostages a concession in this war, because that goes without saying. I understood her comments to include Hamas releasing the hostages. I’m referring to the fact it appears she is suggesting Israel allow Hamas to stay in power in Gaza after the withdrawal of forces. I don’t think that’s a viable option.
Huh … well, here is one of her quotes, probably an honest oversight in your part… “it is time for this war to end and end in a way where Israel is secure, all the hostages are released, the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza ends, and the Palestinian people can exercise their right to freedom, dignity and self-determination.”
I'm sure she's had several of these question tossed her way, and she's answered them differently. Maybe I am splitting hairs because I would think that getting the hostages back would be a given.
It would also be a “given” that both sides have to stop shooting at each other … wars end by things that most people think would be a “given”. Again I ask, what concessions should Harris have “offered” on behalf of Hamas that she has the authority to fulfill?
I think everything she says will be dissected by dozens of groups and networks... It's the nature of the job that she's reaching for. There is no way around that.
Based on what I'm seeing, Biden/Harris have all but publicly accepted Hamas continual rule in Gaza as a condition of any cease-fire. That's the quiet part they are not saying out loud. It's also why Israel is still in Gaza. They're not going to allow Hamas to reign again. Kind of a big deal and talk of a lasting cease-fire is pointless without confronting that issue. Based on what happened in Washington this week, I'm sensing Biden/Harris are A-okay with Hamas remaining in power. We just had our nation's capital vandalized by these terrorists. Obviously unacceptable. What happens when they ratchet up the ante?
Hey Joe and Kamala, Hamas has to go as part of any lasting cease-fire deal! Why aren't you echoing this? Do you think Israel will allow Hamas to remain in Gaza after IDF troop withdrawal? I've been critical of the indiscriminate bombing by the IDF, but I have never been okay with Hamas remaining in power in Gaza as a condition of any lasting cease-fire deal. Hamas plunders the Palestinian people and subjugates them to all sorts of human rights abuses on the daily. Hell no! Hamas must go!
Thanks... Bibi, the leader of Israel, already said that is a nonstarter. Hamas has to go from Gaza... and that is NON-NEGOTIABLE.
Can you point out to me where she has stated within the last week that as part of any lasting cease-fire arrangement, Hamas needs to be removed from power in the Gaza strip?
You have spent months criticizing Israel’s prosecution of the War, particularly its central goal of removing Hamas from power in Gaza. Is it because you just learned that Trump is aligned with Netanyahu that you’ve made your swift epiphany?
Where have I criticized the central goal of removing Hamas? I have never done so. I've suggested there were more targeted ways to achieve this goal and I still stand by that. I think others will quickly point out to you I've forever pointed out this is an Iranian problem at the core. I've never been okay with Iranian proxy ruling in Gaza or anywhere for that matter. Please stop twisting my words. And Trump has been aligned with Netanyahu for years, lol. Who blessed the move of the capital to Jerusalem? Donald J Trump. You're just making things up.
You said Israel can’t throw at Hamas and are trying to murder as many innocents as possible, or words to that effect. You are suddenly taking a complete U-turn on your position, not coincidentally on the day that Harris met with Netanyahu, and you’re now adopting Trump’s stance which is aligned with Netanyahu in every way.
