Hope he can catch the same elevator that Wyatt got on and get to the top floors fast!

 

Hopefully he pauses at high A for a week or so. They play in the most beautiful minor league park in the country. Would love to head over and watch a game or two.

Located in downtown Davenport, fans at Modern Woodmen look out toward the Mississippi River. The arches of Centennial Bridge serve as the backdrop of the field. The park is next to the Davenport farmers market as well as local bars, restaurants and the Figgie Art Museum.

 

Andrew posted that he is being sent to the Quad Cities for tomorrow! Slight change in my plans for the evening LOL

Does Beth Mowens do minor league baseball too?

 

They can’t shift on him anymore, and waaaaalaaaa, he’s banging doubles right out of the gate. In college he got pretty much zero doubles because they had two or three guys in the infield and/or two or three guys in the outfield on that side. It’s really amazing how many singles he got with half the defense playing right where he’s hitting it. Crazy how hard that kid hits a baseball, even when it’s not squared up!

 

It makes an all together different sound coming off of his bat, that’s for sure.

 

I love the sound of a well struck ball off of a wooden bat unless I am pitching.

I loved watching BP and would arrive at Comiskey Park well before game time to see it especially if the Twins were in town and I could see Harmon "The Fat Kid" Killebrew take BP.

 

According to the box he only got one hit tonight. He had 4 RBI's though.

Not bad for his first one!!!

OOOPS! The HR was against a second baseman. Jac says it doesn't really count and he probably is right. He'll pound regular pitchers soon enough.
