Some may be predicting that Ava Brown gets supplanted in her role in the circle and in the field next year. We have to remember that she played both ways as a true freshman and performed very well. I expect a leap in performace is all aspects of her game and think she will be an intergral part of the pitching rotation and offense/defensive production in 2025. The young lady has exceptional talent, leadership skills, work ethic and determination and will be a major part of the Gator team for the next 3 years.

I don't know why everyone seems quick to forget about her. I think she is going to be a very vital piece for the next 3 years. Her leadership is huge and she is a great athlete. I expect a jump for her in all facets.

Is anyone watching PGF? The thunderbolts won their game today. Was curious if Oxley threw.

I believe she has the potential to set home run records. As a freshman, 13 (12 away, 1 KSP). That is strange! I expect, with her performance in ‘24, she is a starter and will be given time to prove herself. As for pitching I hope our new coach will better utilize our staff and help restore the confidence (which at times seemed missing in ‘24). If so Ava could develop into another Lauren Haeger!

Skylar and Amanda are on the same team this week as they open the Athletes Unlimited full season this Friday night on ESPN2 at 7:00. Amanda was in the first top 8 and Skylar in the top 12 picks which is not truly representative as the first four picks are always pitchers so top 4 and top 8 are more realistic.

On another note, is there another note at this point? Taylor had a crappy day yesterday (for her) going only 1-3 with a rbi and a double. I think she woke up this morning and said, "screw that". She went 4-5 today with 4 runs scored, 3 rbis, 2 walks, a double and another home run.

The potential is over the top. I, personally, am going to enjoy the ride. The only question is, “How do you keep them all happy?”

I saw a list of the 'final' roster for AU and Skylar was not listed.
    Has anyone heard anything?

Here. Both Amanda and Skylar are on Alyssa Denham's team this week. They play first game tomorrow at 7:00 on ESPN2 and will stay the same team until the next captain draft next Tuesday. Athletes Unlimited | WK1-G1

Not really Gator related but Keilani Rickets coaching at Pacific somehow seems to be a very low bar for her coaching debut doesn't it? Maybe because the decision came so laye that other jobs were taken. I don't think she has coached before but her success as a player should have warranted a slightly higher profile job right?

Y'all are going to thank me later. Assuming I can get all of this done today, you're going to get a treat involving Jocey, Taylor and Townsen.

Their webpage shows her on Team Denham. Did they change the rosters and post somewhere else?

First up. From July 31, 2022, a 18 year old kid that in a month was headed off to Oklahoma. This from the Alliance Championship series. I think it was an elimination game in the finals as the Batbusters had come through the losers bracket and had to win this game and the next game against the Texas Bombers Gold. This kid in this game went 2-2 with a run scored, a walk, 3 rbis and a home run. I was pissed this kid was going to Oklahoma because I had watched her play a lot and wanted her in Gainesville. As it turns out, she did make it to Gainesville...just took longer than I wanted. You will also note there was a 16 year old kid wearing #27 who met her at home plate.

Next up. From that same July 31, 2022 game, was a young 16 year old kid playing with 18 year old studs on the Batbusters. Earlier that month this kid started to get a ton of playing time. Had not a clue who she was but she caught my eye and I thought, "this young kid looks pretty good...wonder who she is." I found out.

Korbe is doing an internship this summer. She wants to be a cardiothoracic surgeon. A friend of several of us got her in to observe some surgeries.

I'm not done. There is mucho more to go. May not get it all done tonight. You see, it is 5 o'clock somewhere....oh wait....it was 5 o'clock here. Time to get the blender out, put the 2 dogs out on the front deck under the trees, and whip up that "concoction that helps me hang on." No apologies.
