I think you may have just invented a new word: "rapistfelontraitor". Sounds about right.

I didn’t say a little increase. It was an accelerating trend under Trump due to external factors. If you actually care to understand a little about the causes of the border numbers like economic disruption, food scarcity, Covid lockdown restrictions being eased, etc. you can read up on it many places. Here’s one to start. Rising Border Encounters in 2021: An Overview and Analysis

Bottom line. Illegal crossing were the highest ever in our country during the Biden Admin. Harris was put in charge and failed. The rest is D's trying to run cover and playing politics. Most see through it except those who are far right or left.

Worse, he is a lying POS George Santos wannabe who made up his financial background and his education background. Fortunately for him, the hill-billys in Tennessee were too stupid to bother to do any research on him before the election. Typical POS politician.

I’m neither, but I at least can understand everything isn’t black and white like people looking at numbers without any nuance or context.

What's the context? How many illegals crossed during the Trump admin and how many crossed during the Biden admin? When it's up like this graph shows then to say it's not "black and white" is disingenuous at best. Not sure how anyone looks at this and goes "nuance or context". This might be the main issue that causes D's to lose in 24.

Trump didn’t slow crossings. Here is his record which 2019 was higher than any Obama year.

I already provided you a link to get the ball rolling for you but you chose not to read it. Plenty of Americans live by the sound bite and you’re apparently no different. You take your graph and then fail to understand that it only charts encounters, not people actually in-country (for instance Title 42 resulted in increased encounters as people were turned away and tried recently multiple times). The real problem is you don’t want to actually have an honest conversation. You don’t care that we went from catching a third of border crossers to more than 80% so it not only skews the data but we are much efficacious policing our border even with the increased contacts, you don’t care that most of these people are voluntarily turning themselves in at the border and claiming asylum, you don’t care about the conditions in other countries that are driving people to our borders, etc.

Awesome! So most of Obama's years are extremely close to trumps numbers. Now do biden and trump. They aren't close.

The "catching a third of border crossers to more than 80%" is some crazy BS right there. Where did they pull those numbers out of? I don't think anyone believes those numbers. We won't mention that the website who did this is pretty far left...

Honest conversation is dealing with the fact people let our Director of Homeland Security saying the border is secure when anyone with a brain could see that was a blatant lie. I think trump did a horrible job on most everything but I did agree with the stay in mexico policy. Letting people crossing the border stay in the US and then give them a court date many years down the road really sounds like a brilliant idea...

The whole "asylum" garbage is just that, garbage. That whole policy needs to be changed and I have zero faith either party will put together anything that will actually solve the problem. The "border bill" that some on here have said was great was a piece of crap that let at minimum almost 2 million people cross per year. That isn't a secure border to me or just about anyone with a modicum of intelligence.

My point is Trump had zero policies slowing down immigration. It INCREASED every year under his leadership into 2019. He had no answer. Covid suppressed the crossing in his last year. If Trump could have reduced it, well, why didnt he? Probably because there are external factors driving it he ignored.

He did enact stay in Mexico. Saying he had zero policies that slowed down immigration is wrong. Also, trump's highest year there was 1.4million crossings, when according to you and others the "border bill" that is supposed to be awesome would allow almost 2 million people to cross yearly. So forgive me if I think that bill was a POS. Anyone arguing that Biden/Harris have handled the border with any success is delusional.

Trump had more crossings every year than Obama. If his policies were effective that wouldn’t be true. Biden policies caused no more immigration than Trump’s caused more than Obama. Why is that hard for you to follow?

DHS/CBP estimates it based on their modeling. I don’t really care if you believe it or not - they have actual experience with it.

You can debate the merits of asylum but the fact of the matter it is Federal Law. Perhaps it needs to be changed. I would prefer a system that allows easy to obtain temporary work visas, harsh penalties on companies that hire immigrants without those visas, end birth-right citizenship for people here on visas/asylum, etc. - Basically, make the system more favorable to the US as a whole.

These are not crossing and staying but border contacts. One of the effects of Title 42 was repeated border contacts which according to the CBP increased to 35% of the contacts.

Why would you lie like that? Stopped reading after you saying trump had more crossings than Obama.

Twitter seems to keep receipts of these facts. It looks like we were right all along, Ben. Lol. That's just one of several tweets that have come to light thanks to Elon Musk.
