He thought democracy was in peril and he was the best shot at protecting it. He realized he wasn't, so he passed the torch. Selfless decision.

Yes, if age hadn't caught up to him and so many helped him see that, he wouldn't be pulling out. But it has, and thankfully they did, albeit 6 months after they should have, and he was gracious enough to accept the input. Do u think djt would take input, like he lost the election input?

DJT may take input the question is would he believe it. He lost the election in 2020 and lost more with his continued nonsense about it IMHO.

Sad if you really believe that line.
If Democracy was so in peril he shouldn’t have run again knowing that his cognitive abilities had slipped so much.
Almost as surprised at how many smart people are falling and cheering for this “sudden” and noble realization.
Then again there are plenty of smart people falling for Trump’s garbage.

Who's laughing at the "sudden" or "nob[ility of the] realization?"

It's the transparent insincerity and down right falsity and foolishness of the concocted assertion, and the circus clownish efforts pretending its truth (NM that they themselves represent the Truest threat) that makes the whole thing a tragic comedy.

    That's what we're laughing at.

I agree that bombing the debate badly is the reason he dropped out.

A year ago I don’t think his senility was as bad as it is now. That’s how these things work. They get worse.

For example - do you think Trump will be more or less coherent 4 years from now? It’s called aging.

The quote is true, but we have been fed the opposite for the last four years. Half the country ate it up, and the other half did not.

Right and you and your trumper brethren have been screaming non stop about how Joe is too old and needs to step down and now that he has you’re upset about it because you know it’s gonna be a lot harder for Trump to win. Chin up.

And if the quote is true why are you supporting a 78 year old candidate who already lost the last election?

Why are we stuck with him for 6 months? The GOP is going to expose Hunter Biden and thus impeach Joe Biden because of their crime family. Right?

For a fan of the candidate that lies like other people breathe, maybe you should sit this one out.

I don’t believe for a second that they actually want Biden to step down. It would make Kamala the incumbent going into the election. They’d scream and holler about how she was coronated president without being elected.

Same with him withdrawing from the race. They never wanted him to drop out because Trump can beat him. They just want to bitch and moan no matter what.

Republicans are nothing like democrats. Partisan impeachments against a sitting president are something only democrats do. Add to that continuing to attack a previous president after he leaves office. It's what those in the democratic socialist communist party do and have done.

A house republican wanted to impeach Kamala Harris for not using the 25th Amendment to remove Biden. That was squashed the first day it was brought up.

Yes, we are stuck with Biden until Trump 47 is sworn in, actually less than 6 months now. Maybe I should put up a Countdown to Freedom Watch thread.

Dang, all of you lefties will be sitting out for the next 6 months as Biden and Harris are both lyin' machines.

Instead of getting 3 hours a day of sleep, Trump will probably need 4 hours a day.

Biden on the other hand sleeps 18 hours a day as he can only function 6 hours a day.

Unlike Biden, Trump is aging well.

Did you intentionally gloss over the amount of times articles of impeachment have been filed against Diamond Joe?

Do tell. To my knowledge, the only impeachment conviction sent to the senate was deservedly for Mayorkas. No worries for you though, Chucky Schumer refused to allow the trial to take place, a first in all of US history. You democrats should be proud of the dictatorship that has been blooming under democrat leadership.

I fully believe that it's hard to give up power, that it's understandable that Biden would think he's the best person to beat Trump, and that elderly people often struggle accepting the growing limitations on their capabilities. Biden came to understand the realities and voluntarily relinquished power and control. That is a selfless act. It is the sort of thing Donald Trump is completely incapable of doing.

The goal post has officially been moved. Again, why are you ignoring all of the articles of impeachment filings from the GOP on Biden?
