early Open AI Investor and SV investor scalds Musk and Trump. I think I like this guy

Elon Musk asked OpenAI investor Vinod Khosla to support Trump. Khosla said he doesn't 'accept depravity'. (msn.com)

Khosla first posted that an open convention could yield a candidate who could "easily" beat Trump, such as Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer or Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro — in a later post, he also called on Vice President Kamala Harris or Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear to declare their candidacy. He noted these politicians could lead the US without the nation being "held hostage between MAGA extremists and DEI extremism."
    .....
"Come on, Vinod. Trump/Vance LFG!!" he replied. Musk, who fully endorsed Donald Trump last Saturday after the shooting at a Trump rally, has been praised by the former president as a "brilliant guy" — despite Trump saying he hadn't heard about Musk's reported plan of donating $45 million each month to a pro-Trump super PAC.

"Hard for me to support someone with no values, lies, cheats, rapes, demeans women, hates immigrants like me," Khosla replied. "He may cut my taxes or reduce some regulation but that is no reason to accept depravity in his personal values. Do you want President who will set back climate by a decade in his first year? Do you want his example for your kids as values?"
    ...........

Khosla continued to post throughout the afternoon, asserting his views on the climate crisis, advocating for ranked-choice voting, and stressing the importance of "values and morals" in the age of AI acceleration.

In another post, Khosla tagged Musk, asking if he would be "willing forgive him for trying to subvert democracy on Jan 6 and push for insurrection just to win?" Musk did not reply to that post.

Keeping on the Musk theme, Tesla stock dropped 10% today after their quarterly report showed a steep revenue decline year over year… he must be having trouble selling electric cars to latte sipping liberals after making it known he’s Trump’s bitch.

Trump received no bounce from Old Milwaukee, but 28% of Americans believe that Trump getting shot "changed him for the better". His top strategists may suggest he start taking shots to the ear more often to get his ratings up. I think Matt Gaetz would like to volunteer to handle the gun. Maybe the honor of shooting a chunk of Trump's ear off should be reserved for top donors. Tucker could handle the play-by-play commentary and post-shooting hyperbole. Trump may not have much left of his ear by the time the election comes around.

One some level, it seems wrong that parts of America thinks that Trump acting as a shooting target is the best thing for the country.

New Yahoo News/YouGov poll: Just 28% of Americans say assassination attempt 'changed Trump for the better'

Tesla is finally facing some competition in the ev market and losing his pricing power, and alienating the majority of your customer base never helps..

His problem is he is competing on price now which the markets hate. The volume decline isn’t as bad as the average sales price decline. It is not any cheaper to make a Tesla now versus last year, so when you decrease the average sales price with the built in cost to manufacturer a car it isn’t good.

I only own a few shares, so I’m not educated on the subsidies that help his company or tariffs keeping cheap Chinese EVs.

Just really bad financial results plus political uncertainty equals bad news for the stock.

Seems to have changed him into a simpleton. But that seems to be kind of policies his supporters are capable of understanding: "nice" and "not nice".
