Something I’ve picked up on and I’m sure others have as well, when he makes a play during a game the whole team gets up for him in a big way, I think his fellow players are cheering for him to succeed. The fact that he hasn’t gotten the weight off with everyone cheering for him makes me think he doesn’t have the drive, discipline or determination it takes to be a productive SEC level player.
Everyone doesn’t have the metabolism. He could be working really hard and just can’t get the results. That would explain the support.
I'm impressed how he grinds through practice and lifts every day, working hard even in August. Hard for trim people to do. He has the love and respect of his teammates. Me too.
I mentioned this once before. I spoke with a player that was there in 2021 with DW. He said the staff got DW below 400, then there was a two week break and DW came back 25 lbs heavier. He just likes to eat. It's a shame to. He is undraftable at this weight. No NFL team wants to pay a defensive lineman that can only play 10-15 snaps a game if you're lucky.
I posted about that last year... UF and probably other organizations must not use them for fear of liability maybe? Still it seems an outside doctor would be called. Maybe there's issues with athletes and nutrition that make them a bad idea all around.
It’s really sad for the kid because at 360 or 380 pounds he probably has an NFL career and is set up for life
