I thought there would be more Democratic in-fighting than there has been (to date at least), but I think robust disagreements within parties, organizations, or even families are sometimes healthy and necessary.

 

I saw some headline from a right wing source criticizing Dems for being too quick to rally around Harris … saying they were looking like a party where the elite have planned out its future without voter input … no matter what happened, they’d find a way to criticize it.

 

Agreed. Every time a party disagrees, you can criticize them for in-fighting. Every time they don’t, you can criticize them for mindless conformity. Here they did not really end up disagreeing, but that in itself isn’t a good thing.

I'm frankly flabbergasted by how well its going thus far. I was expecting a full blown shit show. I'm very pleased.

Damn open borders. Only 2.3 million apprehensions on the Southern border in 2023 and 1.8 million so far in 2024. I guess your definition of open is different than mine.

 

I would add that the same Border Patrol union that actually endorsed the defeated former president in 2020 supported the bipartisan immigration bill that he shut down.
