They literally always do that. “Can’t comment about ongoing investigations”. It’s totally understandable when there is a criminal investigation. Albeit that usually has to do with saying something which could undermine a prosecution… and well… this guy is dead.

In this case she also had crazy non-answers to some very basic questions. That’s why both sides were pissed. You’ve got to show up with something. I didn’t see her initial testimony, but I did read it really quickly and it seemed to be filled with generalities about the way secret service operates, not much specific about this incident. The proper way to do it would be to say “what we have confirmed so far” up front in the testimony, including specific secret service missteps, then just say she can’t comment on further speculation or anything the FBI is investigating.

I guarantee you 100% they already know who the agent that screwed up was. The reality is they aren’t going to throw anyone to the wolves whether secret service or locals (bAcK the bLuE, right?). It’s not like they are going to name drop anyone specific to be harassed by a nutbar mob. I suspect at the end a senior agent in charge gets fired and Cheatle resigns.

As I posted b4--that level of *incompetence* is quite simply unachievable, sans a conscious affirmative effort.

Give a map of that layout to any given room full of 5th graders, identify on the map where the charge to be protected is, instruct the kids to place 5 markers where agents/officers /guards should be placed, and I guarantee you the only kids to miss that roof top, ride the short bus.

Questions they ought to ask her:

"Who told you not to secure that building?"

"What was the explanation they gave you to not secure that building?"

"How do you think you look in Tennessee orange?"

 

Answering questions could complicate or uncover a conspiracy if there was one.

For example, she was asked over and over how many shell casings were found on that roof by the FBI? She knew the answer but said they should ask the FBI. That evasion could be because no shells were found, or it hasn't been decided yet how many shells should be found or planted (the "investigation" is still going on), or fill in the blank.

 

BTW the last I heard they still haven't figured out a motive for Crooks. (Oswald didn't have one either.)

 

No, I don’t think I misunderstood his point. He didn’t have a point and he has a habit of attempting to crash every thread with histrionics. There is no, zero defense of Kim Cheatle after that performance yesterday. She’s a piece of trash. As noted, even AOC was very concerned about her lack of candor and refusal to answer questions. Even AOC is smart enough to understand the SS provides security to both parties and next time it could be one of her buddies in the crosshairs of a killer.

@docspor did what he always does which is tried to run interference for this shrill woman (not completely certain that she was a female at birth) and therefore @docspor is on ignore now. We need transparency and accountability from our government no matter who you want to run for office or vote for. @docspor was attempting to pour cold water on that idea and that’s as unamerican as it gets.
