NYC had a population of just over 33,000 at the time of the first census, really not massively different than towns of 4000-6000 people. North Carolina actually had a slightly larger population as a state then than NY state in 1790. Tiny Rhode Island was only 4 time less the number of people as NY or NC. And as I said, industrialization didnt even exist. Every state had an agrarian economy and some of the larger towns and cities had small time tradesmen and craftsman (i.e. small businessmen). All this shit about big states and little states, urban vs rural, its all crap people dreamed up later as an ex post facto rationale. Since voting was basically confined to landholding white men anyways, the thing about population or mob rule is even more nonsensical and retroactive creation.
Wait… Did Trump try to force us to take a new drug that was unnecessary for the vast majority of the population? Does not get much more authoritarian than that!
So all those fake electors were trying to do what again? And the J6 crowd were all really just tourists?
The election that had drop boxes to collect fake votes. The election that excepted mail in ballots without signatures. The election that stopped counting votes in 7 swing states the night of the election. The election where the technocrats and the Intelligence Community silenced the right on social media and the web. Yah Trump is the one who tried to overthrow the election. "Peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard." What else you got?
Yes, by the 20th Pence had done his duty, trump had left town, the attempt to overturn an election had failed, and indictments were still being prepared. Put down the pipe.
And what was the purpose of the fake Trump electors again? And Jan 20 was peaceful. But was Jan 6? Again, just a bunch of tourists, right?
So if Pence had done Trump's bidding and refused to certify in order that the fake electors could be put into place, therefore keeping Trump in office.... that is not overturning an election. you are just disappointed that it did not work. next.....
Trump did not try to overturn the election. Just stop with the nonsense. We have had 3.5 years of no leadership and real authoritarianism compared to the prior 4 years. I’m really jaded now that I walked out of my garage Saturday morning ready to go watch my daughter play softball. Instead we had a cop fly into our cul de sac and run into our neighbors house. Followed by a convoy of our public servants. Then watched their son put in an ambulance unconscious and later find out he died of almost certainly fentanyl. His girlfriend was lucky and survived. I am sure you think the border has nothing to do with it. And if so we will disagree. But I will now be attending a funeral and while certainly my neighbors son made the decision that to led to it. Our leaders could be slowing and solving the problem instead of exacerbating it like Biden and Harris have done. Hopefully in November we get real leadership again.
boy my son grew up with died from Opiates in 2020. yeah, Trumpy really locked it down. Q where feelings >>>> facts
Fentanyl is awful. A wall wouldn't help. 90% of drugs come in as contraband through legal crossings. And as the chart shows, Trump wasn't effective against slowing down fentanyl at all. The war on drugs has been going on for generations. Now, back to Trump trying to overturn the election. Care to answer what the fake electors were doing? Planning a garden party for Trump? And Jan 6. Really peaceful, right?
The chart also shows the biggest jump between 2019 and 2020. Who was in office back then again? And still think Trump can stop this flow magically with a wall? Here's the truth. The drugs come in as contraband or often driven in by citizens looking to make a quick buck. And why do you refuse to answer what the purpose was for the fake electors? And whether or not Jan 6 was violent or not?
