So if for any reason a party nominee is not available, they are just supposed to forfeit the election to the other party? Tell us how you really feel.

    Bottom of a pint glass
Not to mention the people complaining

    A) aren't members of the Democrat party
    B) support the party that tried to send fake electors to actually threaten the will of the people.

I mean big corporations are a threat to democracy (workplace democracy especially - Walmart isnt pro-union), but not for these reasons stated here in particular

Michelle Obama would win hands down, that's why Obama wants a process. Probably working his wife to consider a run.

I see this idea out there a lot, but just as people cried every time I posted about Trump’s lead in the polls, I would say Michelle’s hypothetical lead at this stage is fool’s gold.

Michelle Obama has never done any of these things:

    1. Held public office
    2. Secured a nomination via primary (ie a democratic process)
    3. ran a business
    4. expressed interest in politics. So much so that we have no idea what her policy positions are, what her platform is. People I suppose assume she would be a Barack clone. That’s kinda twisted when you think about it.
    5. participated in a political debate for office

Nobody has a clue how she would perform in a debate, she was never battle tested and she has always dismissed any interest in holding elected office. All of these things are variables (to put it lightly) that can and would likely cause significant shift in opinion about her.

I am not saying she couldn’t win. It’s just not the lock everyone assumes that it is. Once the spotlight shines on her, for all we know, she might buckle under the heat. She has no experience, so who could fault her if she did. With Hillary, for example, you knew she had craved that office for a long time so bad she could taste it. And she had experience in the senate and cabinet. She had many debates. Michelle has none of that experience. Assuming she’d win based off what we know now is wishful thinking.

Yup. The ageist remarks they let fly so freely the last few years towards Biden will now be replaced by sexist ones towards Kamala.

I appreciate @ncargat1 dedication to the bit. Right wingers on this site have spouted thousands of moronic conspiracy nut theories and it just lampoons the shit out of them. Now you can see what we think of them.

Just curious as I don’t recall at all, did COVID have anything to do with canceling those late primaries?

In fairness had Biden not appeared cognitively impaired, not been looking more and more frail and had trouble walking I don’t think there would have been near as much discussion about his age.

This is an article on the first four cancellations. There is no mention of Covid with the decision to cancel the primaries attributed to Trump's takeover of the party.
Republicans to scrap primaries and caucuses as Trump challengers cry foul
Once again while there was absolutely no way that Trump could have been defeated he wanted to avoid the embarrassment of even a small number of Republican voters expressing discontent with him.
