The independent vote will come down to local and regional biases. I would guess that most independents in Georgia are white and there is no reality that exists where the vast majority of them would ever vote for a black person, even when the opponent is a convicted felon.
I’m curious to see what actual campaigning does to these polls. As many had pointed out Biden was not in public campaigning a lot. If Harris gets out there and does a whole shit ton of events it could impact polling. As others have noted she really only needs to move the needle in three states to win the election - Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania so it’ll be interesting to see how they approach it. With only three months to go is it even worth it campaigning in Georgia? Idk. I’m not a campaign expert. But curious to see how it’s handled.
A poll taken less than 12 hours after a major change in the race is WORTHLESS. Many of those polled probably don't even know that something happened.
It probably is worth going a number of places due to diminishing returns of campaign events. The first campaign event in an area has a huge effect. The second is still quite large. But the incremental effect of event 11 to event 12 is pretty small. Generally, it makes more sense to distribute risk across 7-8 states, even if the main pathway is to combine those three states.
Yeah, but have you heard Kamala laugh? She can't help laughing like Trump can't help lying. But now at least with Trump she really has something to laugh at.
Kamala Harris scored as the most liberal US senator in 2019. This was based on her voting record and such. Fox reported this but the source is independent. In any case, that speaks for itself. The country will never elect someone like that to run everything. Kamala Harris scored as most liberal US senator in 2019 — Fox News
I think she needs to hit the trail as hard as possible. She needs to change an ingrained perception that she is unlikable and hyper-liberal. That’s hard work, and she has limited time to do it.
When you say coherent, does that imply she makes sense? But ya I think we need to wait a few weeks on polls. I prefer state polls over the GE though, since this election will again come down to 3 states.
Republicans just have to run the Tulsi beatdown she got over and over again. Throw in her laughing about smoking weed while also posting her record for incarcerating those for weed charges.
Yes, I mean just having the energy to hit the trail and talk to voters. As I said before, Biden benefited a lot from COVID in that he could take it pretty easy and appear responsible for not doing big events in 2020. Cant do that now, especially with questions about your age and ability to do the job.
Harris didn’t even make it to the first primary in 2020. She also called Joe Biden a segregationist and a sex offender. I guess we can forgive JD Vance’s ‘never Trump’ phase.
I personally can’t wait to see Trump implode when Harris calls him a convicted felon and rapist during the debate.
I can’t wait either. That strategy has worked so well thus far and I will be disappointed if Kamala doesn’t lay the hammer down.
Well he does have a record of "accomplishment" in the private sector including operating a phony university, a fraudulent charitable foundation, six bankruptcies and a finding that he was falsifying financial records using vastly different property valuations depending on whether the purpose was for taxation or to use the properties for collateral.
