While the characterization of both candidates is right on point unless he has an insurmountable lead Trump will still debate her. Trump's ego is such that he wouldn't want to create the appearance that he is chickening out on a debate against a woman.
Yep. he will go after her on issues the gop feels she is vulnerable on and he'll toss out plenty of misogynistic dog whistles for his base.
Not that they mean much but current betting odds for VP Shapiro +200 Cooper +250 Mark Kelly +350 Beshear +500 Buttigieg +1600
And while his base would probably love it the net effect will most likely be mobilizing support for her among suburban women. Interestingly, Hillary Clinton failed when she tried to flip Republican leaning suburban women in 2016. Ironically Trump managed to flip them to the Democrats in 2018 and they've been voting Democrat in every election since then including 2018, 2020 and 2022 when they turned a predicted Republican red wave into a Republican trickle.
She is perfectly capable to perform all presidential duties at Joe's level. She can follow written instructions She can read a teleprompter She can climb stairs, in high heels... she is better than Joe.
What the heck does this mean. I didn’t say anything about Trump. My statement was about facts and truth.
"Yes, she's miserable, but she also laughs too much, but make no mistake, she's miserable, so don't be fooled by the laughing, even though it is too much..." -Republicans honing their message.
I am sure that all step parents are thrilled to know that they are "childless." Especially from the guy who says that abused women should just stay in abusive relationships.
No doubt shes better than Joe but again, you have to sway people who are on the fence. Those who are either not showing up to vote for anyone, people like myself who vote for other parties (I vote Libertarian for the chance of equal ballot representation for a viable 3rd option), or people who are in the middle and would hold their nose and vote for Trump because maybe they did well economically when Trump was in office than with Biden. Im not saying that as it being a fact, just a hypothetical situation. It will vary case by case. Trump is polarizing to some and a lot of people think the indictments are politically motivated and dont care about lying. The unfortunate fact is there are A LOT of people, enough to get him elected, that fall into one category or another. You can argue until you're blue in the face to the contrary but thats just the facts. Will she be able to do it with a short turnaround? We shall see...
One of my best friends recently moved to house that's more "country" than the neighborhood she had been living in, and when she was packing, a neighbor she had been friendly with for the last several years made some comment like "it's probably best you move out there, neighborhoods like this should have more families with kids". It really hurt her because she and her husband spent like 10 years and $40,000 out of pocket doing various fertility treatments that all failed. They wanted kids very badly. Vance is an absolute piece of shit to say something like that. I hope all women hear him loud and clear.
JD Vance might be the worst VP candidate in history and that’s saying a lot. Trump really dropped the ball on this one, but not surprised considering he wanted a bonafide boot licker who he knows will do whatever he says at all times. If Harris knocks her VP pick out of the ballpark, she takes the election IMO. Historically VP choices haven’t done much to move the meter, but an exceptionally bad one, like Palin, can definitely catch everyone’s attention.
I don’t think this election will be decided in any way based on who is VP. Trump is who he is, and he will now be on. His warpath and he will remind the country what it’s like to have a third grader trying to get the vote. However, Harris is not currently a very popular candidate, either. Earned or not, she has a reputation of being hard and too liberal. Her biggest challenge is changing that perception. If she’s successful in changing that image, that will go a long way to winning. If she remains perceived as unlikable and too leftist, she will not likely win.
I don’t see anybody getting swayed either way. Like most elections, it’s going to be about turnout. Who can energize and who has the better ground game. Can the democrats get young women to vote.
How big of a factor do you think Russia will be in this election? They'll definitely be helping Trump again, right?
