Maybe I’m in the minority, but I would love to hear what he has to say. I want people who put country over party, and he has never hesitated at putting his constituents above his party. He’s a guy who can cross the aisle, putting a stop to the ugly discord that permeates our political system.
Doc, You're drunk arent you? Followed by this: Um. What? Anyway, since I am so dense, I will try to explain it in simple words: My conservative side believes the 10 commandments are good. Conservatives used to live by them. I do not consider most republican politicians to be followers of 10c and therefore likely not remotely conservative. I also don't feel like the pandering of trying to force them is conservative either. Now go sleep it off brother.
I guess calling me drunk & telling me to sleep it off is ok around here. Good to know. You quote me to make it sound like I am being inconsistent or in your hateful condescension, "drunk". I am not at all inconsistent. I am talking about your opinion & not your position as I have pointed out, supported by the quotes you provided. I think it is super shitty of you to accuse me of being drunk & to tell me that I should sleep it off b/c you cannot defend your position. You now lie & say this was about the 10 commandments being good. THAT WAS NEVER THE ISSUE. I have posted your quote several times to demonstrate this. Tilly: "Conservatives used to live by them". So offensive & ignorant. My father was a Goldwater con & a lifelong atheist. To mash up religion & politics is gross & ANTI-con. The next sentence makes you sound drunk. "I do not consider...." What a shit sentiment. sleep that one off brother. I think your post is super petty, dismissive & way beneath you. I will not forget it. @OklahomaGator @lacuna better?
You called me "dense" and referred to my "dumbness". But now you are somehow offended. Bo worries. Remember if you must. I've always thought you were a good dude and will gladly forgive and forget. And I meant no offense to your father. My point is conservatives find not stealing and not sleeping around, being honest etc to be good things, as do most liberals. Gee man, why is that offensive?
Let’s see Tilly was your post deleted? Don’t play dumb. Oh, also more deflection too! Seems like a lie which according to the 10c….
I didnt delete anything. I have never deleted a post aimed at me. Not my style bro. Now back to your point. You called me dense and dumb then got offended when i clapped back. Like I said, I wont take it personal and will forget it by the time the sun rises.
Never said you deleted a post. My post was deleted. My point was directed to the deleters NOT you, so your pt does NOT stand. I did not get offended that you clapped back. I was offended that my clap back post was deleted. But, this is all crap. My only pt was you don’t know conservatism. Your posts here exposed that my pt is correct
https://www.wsj.com/politics/electi...ion-before-election-drop-out-c9fc46ef?mod=mhp Pretty interesting account of how Biden’s inability to articulate goes back to late 2021 and how it was hidden. President Biden had just finished trying to persuade a group of congressional Democrats to pass a $1 trillion infrastructure bill when Nancy Pelosi, then the House speaker, took the microphone. In 30 minutes of remarks on Capitol Hill, Biden had spoken disjointedly and failed to make a concrete ask of lawmakers, according to Democrats in the room. After he left, a visibly frustrated Pelosi told the group she would articulate what Biden had been trying to say, one lawmaker said. “It was the first time I remember people pretty jarred by what they had seen,” recalled Rep. Dean Phillips (D., Minn.), who would go on to mount an unsuccessful primary challenge against the president. That was October 2021. That month was the last time Biden met with the House Democratic caucus on the Hill regarding legislation
I think ‘ats cuz my post was deleted. Or, maybe I’m just DRUNK tomorrow I’ll be sober & you’ll still have no clue what conservatism is. Yay
While I get your point and have made similar posts re conservative/not conservative, the real issue is “conservative” really has no particular meaning these days. Conservative more literally means resistant to change, leaning towards yet not quite reactionary, which believes the past was better. Conservatism in the era of Reagan became this odd combination of social/religious conservatism and economic liberalism, with liberalism used in a global sense. Now it has morphed into social conservatism and economic populism, which is quite different. But even more concerningly it is mostly a function of whether you like Trump or not. So it is definitely true that Trump “conservatism” is nothing like Reagan conservatism. Trump conservatism is really more in line with global conservatism which tends to align with authoritarianism and is actually the opposite of global liberalism (which wierdly in the US was mostly considered conservatism, but with some social / cultural / religious exceptions )
So we get a memo? Written by who and signed by who? No way Joe resigned unless they gave him a war chest to leave. Why no address to the nation so we can make sure Joe is not under some kind of house arrest or even worse?
