If Democrats really wanted to control the news cycle as you claim Biden would have announced his withdrawal on either the day that Trump was scheduled to deliver his acceptance speech at the RNC or the morning after he gave the speech.

 

If they did it the day of, then people would have adjusted their speeches and took shots at Kamala Harris during the convention. Waiting until right after the convention was probably strategically the best move for the Democrats so fewer shots were taken at Harris by Republicans.

All the anti-Biden material delivered at the convention is now obsolete and irrelevant.

 

Yep. The DNC doesn’t want the focus to be on the Biden administration’s failure, refusal to provide adequate SS protection for the candidate of the opposition.
