Updated summary of events leading up to the attempt on Trump's life. Cheatle and Mayorkis must go as this assassination attempt could have been easily avoided. This level of incompetence is what is fueling all of the conspiracy theories ..... and who can fault any American for thinking there is a cover-up of something far more serious than "poor planning and execution" by the SS.

and communication once the threat had been identified. allowing him out on stage was damn near criminal level incompetence on multiple levels by a bunch of men

spotted with rangefinder and identified as threat 5:30 pm
spotted on roof by sniper team 5:52 pm
crowd alerting police of shooter on roof 6:09
    6:11 shots fired

who was in charge of that cluster? were they drunk?

as was allowing him to stand up for his photo op. second shooter wet dream moment if that threat existed. Iran taking notes.....

Crazy to think there are people who believe this was somehow staged.

So Trump got someone who was willing to take a headshot while also being an expert marksman with an AR15 to hit just his ear at the exact time Trump was going to turn his head while also being ok with killing random people in the crowd.

Wait. You're suggesting that plausibility should come into play with Magats? Shirley you jest.

I am suggesting it's ridiculous to think Trump staged this to try and improve his election odds.

My guess is incompetence is a more likely explanation than conspiracy.

Ordinarily, sure. But the level incompetence needed to leave that one little cluster of like 2 buildings unsecured enough for someone to get on rooftop with a long rifle in broad daylight, long enough to situate, set up for a kill shot, take it (missed by fluke), and several other rounds--enough to hit 4 ppl, killing one--simply defies crdulity.

So much so, that it makes conspiracy seem more plausible. In fact, lends itself to such.

Why is it so hard to believe in the general incompetence and arrogance of American law enforcement & security state? Its on display every day. Do you go to the airport and say "boy these people are super competent!" A locking cabin door has prevented more 9/11s than TSA.

Again--we're not talking about "general negligence." We're talking about such an epic @#%$ up, that it looks a LOT more like a set up/ambush.

Ain't no way the SS misses THAT @$*%# building, by:

"...oops.... huh...hey Bubba... where'd that building come from? Did you see that yesterday? Ain't that some shit... a building, just kinda popped up, right there, 150 yards from the stage our charge was on... "

    WTF???

What's 'epic' about it? There have been any number of failed assassination attempts of American politicians in the last 50 years. People who got much closer to shoot at the president too. People talk about "security theater" all the time, and then act like its actually not mostly an illusion if something happens.

So, I guess these mopes think the Trump campaign has enough influence over a part of the Biden administration to secure the SS’s participation in this alleged “fake assassination”? Just when one thinks the left can’t get any more ridiculous, they do. I bet 63% of the leftie-democrats on this message board believe the assassination attempt was a Trump faked assassination.

I think some of the posts were off the mark with how they were presented. At the same time I think the events in PA also show that there are reasons to be concerned with who is in position for certain jobs. Trump is a big man. Whether it was a man or woman. There should probably be tall shields to protect the target. But I do think you have a point about how some presented on this issue.

And I will say Trump praising the agents does not mean the SS should have had certain agents in certain positions. The agents on stage performed well. But it does not mean there were holes in the planning of who should be where.

Just thoughts. Appreciate your posting though we disagree more than we agree.

It's not a matter of difficulty, it's a matter of will. This is why it's pointless to even talk to them. Just do what I do and root for a military coup and a hardcore purge of the far left and far right.

I think we need to start talking body doubles, Saddam style. The Secret Service is what it is.
