He's an elderly dementia patient who doesn't know how to stop rambling incoherently. Unfortunately, that describes both major candidates.
Longest major party acceptance speech in modern political history. Maybe he’s going for the contrast with Biden, Joe has been asleep for 5.5 hours while Donald hopped on stage and decided to talk for nearly 2 hours.
Had to be 90+ minutes right? Funny thing. I didn't notice him lose his train of thought a single time. Imagine that.
Nobody wants to come out and say it, but the assassination attempt has sort of deified Trump. Of course, he knows this and is milking it for all it's worth.
Deified? So you admit you are worshiping an idol? (Ooh, violating one of the Ten Commandments now!) As for his performance, HE WAS READING FROM TELEPROMPTER SCREENS. They scroll the text in big letters, really slowly.
The party and his political folks would have strongly preferred that he read from the teleprompter. The very beginning was probably roughly tracking a teleprompter, the very end was definitely reading, but the roughly hour and 20 minutes in the middle was unquestionably off-the-cuff Trump talking about whatever came to mind (some of which was repetitive, and some of which they would have preferred he didn’t talk about) while giving a glance at the screen about once every 10 minutes and the prompter operator tried to figure out what to do while Donald was not even attempting to follow it. I can assure they didn’t have on a screen, and didn’t want him to talk about, “Crazy Nancy Pelosi,” or Silence of the Lambs, or “the China Virus,” or all sorts of other things he hit on over much of that 93 minutes.
Was going to be disappointed if the Republican nominee didn't talk about Hannibal Lecter. Very pleased now.
Didn't watch his speech, but caught some of it in the morning news. Wow.... talk about low energy. Did someone forget his adderall?
The beginning of the speech in which Trump talked about the assassination attempt was one of his better speeches. The remaining hour of so was a redux of Donald Trump's greatest hits with some extraneous bs thrown in such as the mention of Hannibal Lecter and his absurd proposal for an American Iron Dome. Other than the first 20 minutes of so the speech was essentially the same one that he's been delivering at MAGA rallies since 2016.
Non-stop LYING doesn't appeal to me. And, long, rambling, incoherent speeches don"t appeal to me. So, I didn't watch Dear Leader's speech last night. (There are dozens of examples of stable-genius Trump rambling incoherently during his speeches.)
But be truthful — you’d preferred if he stopped after 20 minutes or so, because the rambling became unwatchable and chalkboard-scratching irritating.
Yes, honestly I have not watched anything Trump in years. He is tough to look at and even worse to listen to. Politicians in general seem so inauthentic and it turns me off with a quickness. PS…the ear bandage is yuge, seems like he really wants to show it off.
