You probably are reading a right-wing source. American Jews are overwhelmingly liberal and overwhelmingly Democrats. You are wildly wrong if you think Trump is winning the Jewish vote. From an April survey:

Because I am Jewish, I know my history. Antisemitism today doesn't even compare to what it was in the past. And I'll take my chances with the party that fights for freedom and equality over the party of white nationalism. The Tree of Life synagogue shooter wasn't a liberal who was angry over a lack of equity.

I'm not supporting the antisemitic Presidential candidate. It's why I'm not voting for Trump.

Ha! I can and will vote for the Democrats because they reflect my values. A party that genuinely believes in diversity and equity is a safe place for a person from an ethnic and religious group that has historically been persecuted. The nativist, white nationalist is not a safe place for me or my values.

 

Don't forget, Trump has said his opponents are "vermin" who must be crushed. And, he says migrants are "poisoning the blood of our country", words used in Nazi propaganda.

When have we ever heard a President or candidate for President consistently use inflammatory de-humanizing language about their opponents, migrants, women, or minorities? NEVER . . . until Donald Trump.

I too am an American Jew, though only by culture. I'm not religious at all. Still, I have religious family, including some that live in Israel. I agree with what another Jew, Chuck Schumer says. We can both love Israel and criticize her leadership/Netanyahu at the same time. We can hold both beliefs, that Israel has the right to defend herself, but attacking civilians is off limits. And we can have hope that one day, there will be a peaceful solution in the region with both Israel and an Palestinian state peacefully coexisting.

As the article states, only 30% of American Jews have a favorable view of Netanyahu. Most American Jews are Democrats, and why we aren't happy about the anti-Semitism on the rise in places like college campuses, people do have the right to speak their mind and protest. And hopefully we can find a way to have a peaceful conversation and find middle ground. Extremism from both sides only causes hate and distrust, which leads to violence.

This is why most of us support Biden, or whomever the D candidate will be. Trump represents the most divisive candidate in modern US history. His quoting of Hitler and other racist comments like "black jobs" doesn't unite, and not something that anyone should want from a candidate. Especially anyone who is Jewish, as wherever the hate emanates from, or the original target is, the hate always seems to find Jews as a target.

 

Over 11 million people eradicated. Starved, gassed and burned. Unreal comparison but not surprised given the desperation of the left at this point.
