Just for perspective, Mizz had 27 seniors graduate last year, and people think Drinkwitz was a genious that made all the difference in a magical year for them.
“I like our team. I believe in our team. When people ask me why, it’s about experience. It’s about production,” Napier said. “We’ve got 463 starts on this team, 17 starters returning. We’ve got 41,000 snaps coming back this year, and we’re fourth in our league in returning production. We’ve got competitive depth for the first time.” - Napier I don't think our roster is elite, but we have a lot coming back and hopefully that means a bump in quality of play. If not, then Napier is out of excuses.
That was my thought when I saw that but, seems like he played a lot of special teams his true freshman season. Not sure about the injury season last year.
If you think Drinkwitz got anybody fired, you're living on your own planet. Mullen made his own bed and earned his pinkslip, and Billy could too. Right now Drinkwitz is a middle of the pack coach in the SEC, who should have lost to a UF team whose OL and LB groups were in shambles in that game with injuries. We should have had no chance in that game with the weapons Drinkwitz had on offense.
He’s better than I thought he’d be, but he’s annoying as Hades to me and the jury’s still out on how good he really is. Getting Mullen fired didn’t require genius, IMO.
He's not listed on the Florida Gators website (official roster) for whatever reason, not even as a walk-on. I just checked...
Damn so we actually have a ton of bodies on the O line - just no elite guys. We really need to start stacking DL though. Bad.
I think he played late in his freshman year. Hopefully he doesn't play the first 8 games this year. Give him time to rehab and use this year as a redshirt.
