To start media days with that statement tells me all I need to hear. Buckle up Gators this year is the start of the climb back to the top. Go Gators!
If we were replaying last year's games with this team I would think 8 RS wins and chance at a bowl victory. Would have been a solid season. This year? I still believe a step up but not sure how it will play against our schedule. Personnel wise, not a stretch to believe we can win more than expected.
Yep. I'm seeing 4.5 with heavy juice (-140) on the over. You gotta bet 140 to win 100 on the over. Under was at +110, meaning bet 100 to win 110.
Don't you ever get tired of being wrong? Napier isn't going anywhere after next year. Deal with it. Last year, but for the fact that our defense blew the Arkansas and Missouri games, most normal fans--you excepted of course-- wouldn't have complained at all. We are going to be better this year.
I'd go heavy if we had a deeper qb room. One or two injuries could derail the season. That's the case for most teams but we saw what happened without Mertz last year. Lagway could be a phenom but I wouldn't want to bet my hopes on him from day 1
Clay Millen. If Lagway not ready we have another option. We aren’t in the same situation as last year but, I understand your concern.
We have only had two 4 win seasons in the last 43 years. I’ve never been so tempted to drop big money (for me) on a bet. Phil Steel has us beating Vegas when the line was at 5.5 and 8 Gators on his preseason All-SEC teams. We have 7 home games.
I'm not worried about it because I also slammed the under on FSU 9.5. We are whipping them and by the time we play I don't think it will shock anyone. That team is as fraud as it gets.
That's fair. I think we have enough to carry Lagway though if that were the case. Trell is the SEC's 2nd leading returning rusher from last year and that was with him splitting time 50/50. I believe Trey is a legit WR1 by himself. Now we added Elijah Badger who was ASU's WR1 the last two years and Dike who was Wisconsin's WR1 2 years ago with Mertz. You can argue we have 3 legit #1's at the WR position, but I'll call Dike a #2. That still puts Kahlil matched up with backup DB's where I think he and Boardingham at TE can see some advantages. Plus we actually went out and got some OT's in the portal. We have something here that I don't believe is being considered by Vegas or anyone who gets scared of our "daunting" schedule. Now I have my beef with BN as I think he has done some poor things both on Saturdays and with his staff, but we legit have a squad on offense. If Napier opens up the offense we are going to light up the scoreboard. If we are still throwing horizontally and running hb dive on 3rd and 6 then... well we know where that's headed.
