Some House Democrats reportedly give up on Biden, resigned to a second Trump presidency | Fox News

This has been reported in multiple sources. Most top Democrats resigned that Biden won’t step back and he can’t win.

I’ve heard multiple people who talk to congress democrats anonymously and they said either all, or almost all (9 to 1) think abide can’t win. Yet here we are, with Joe apparently taking advice from Hunter Biden of all people.

If anybody had any doubt Democrats are just as spineless as Republicans.

I agree that Biden probably can't win, but how does that make Dems spineless? What are they supposed to do if he refuses to step down?

then they need to hit him with 25 and have the cabinet remove him. allowing djt to win because they don't want to tarnish his legacy isn't acceptable option

They will scratch and claw every which way they can to gain House and Senate seats... And they will try every trick on the book to keep sleepy Joe in the WH.

The feel the vote shifting towards President Trump but they will fight it all the way to election day.

Everyone needs to stop overreacting. I think people are forgetting that most Americans hate Trump more than they like Biden. Trump is the best GOP candidate that Biden has the chance of defeating.

They just need to apply more pressure. Quit giving money, have Hollywood turn on him en masse. It can be done. I think he’s still being told to stay in it by people who foolishly believe he’s the best chance for the Dems to win. If the money dries up, his handlers will turn too.

Who do you think would have a better chance of winning?

This is the problem. The whole conversation is pointless because it's 3 years too late.

Agree but at the same time Biden is probably the best Democratic candidate that Trump has a chance to beat.

Unfortunately, these two are who we have to choose from to lead this country.

most of the ones that are privately saying he should step down are publicly supporting him, albeit tepidly.

Such as the whole “I’m with Joe” thing by Schumer. Just pathetic.

yep, set themselves up for failure when they chose a VP based on race and gender than someone to be the standard bearer when the bridge candidate stepped aside

i still believe she beats djt though, he is just that bad of a candidate with a bad vp

IMO, one key rationale for Biden's initial campaign (and keeping him in for 2024) was the belief that Trump would self destruct. Trump essentially did that in 2020 with his unhinged rants and horrible messaging around Covid. Following Biden's horrible debate performance, Trump's relatively good debate performance, Biden's seeming gradual decline, and the good will Trump will receive following the attempt on Trump's life, I am not seeing a lot of reasons to be optimistic about Biden right now. Sports analogies are always tricky, but I feel like keeping Biden in at this point is like being behind in the 4th quarter and playing prevent defense.

I really don't know Harris well enough to comment on her ability to lead a nation, but what little I do know doesn't inspire a ton of confidence. Regardless - they could have been groming a viable non-VP candidate like Beshear, Whitmer, Newsom...

    Practically anybody.

Besides it is irrelevant. Biden is not up to the job at this point. It isn’t even close. Everybody sees it.
