yeah the championship teams here never had some interesting personalities...we are talking about some attitude problems not stuff UGA lets players get away with. How about let's stop roasting our own players and let the coaches sort that out.
How about we get some facts straight. No one is roasting anybody. The OP (me) posed this as a request for clarification. I stated early on that the reporter who brought this up has a history of not always being the most reliable. And although the post was a request for further info, the board admin. held the discussion in check until two separate articles were linked to bring the discussion out of the realm of rumor and into media reportage. No rampant, irresponsible bashing there. IMHO, every comment made on this thread has reflected what was becoming "known" or was at least reasonable conjecture about a prominent recruit with a history of drama. As I and others have said, BN will do the right thing, whatever that turns out to be. That has already been said repeatedly. FTR, comparing this situation and what it represents on several levels with the "colorful characters" on any Spurrier era team is incredibly wrong-headed. Comparing it to the collapse with Urban's house of cards serves as a cautionary tale on the importance of character. Lighten up, we're fans on a message board. We talk.
And that’s how things start to fall apart. If you start doing the exact opposite of what you demand of your team, you lose respect. The last staff was a glaring example of that.
There is a precarious area between acceptable risk and detrimental disruption. Let’s see if our team can navigate this successfully.
I'm still curious about the complete situation. Was the whole initial reporting incorrect, or just part of it. We know he's still part of the team, and the part about him being removed from the team is false. Is the part about him being regularly late to practice/meetings true or is that false as well? Maybe I missed something.

Yep! Lizard heard rumors and started the thread, ET asked for proof that was provided by myself when I came across the articles in my feed. It has been debunked that he has been dismissed from the team BUT it also has been verified that he is still up to his old antics of tardiness to meetings and workout sessions. I think the staff will continue to push him to do better because it is still summer. But if he continues during fall camp, it will be a distraction and it needs to be handled harshly. If he is causing the other players to have to do extra work because of his selfishness, the first hitting day of fall camp should be an Oklahoma drill with CM in the middle for the whole team to take a shot at him.
Rumors of dismissal have been reported as false. However, I haven't seen any corrections from sources about the tardiness...
. . . and by that, I interpret it to mean team-wide help improving his post-interception tackling evasion techniques. LOL!
That's the sixty-four-thousand-dollar question. Nick has a history of staking out controversial positions based on his "feel" for a situation. I'm not calling anybody a click slut or anything, but IMHO, Nicky D is best taken with a grain of salt on occasion. That's why I asked if anyone knew WTH was actually going on - if anything.
