It's possible the Crooks that donated the $15 is a 60+ year old with the same name that lives in Pittsburgh. If true, doesn't change much.

And there is this report. Apparently kid was around guns his whole life and tried out for the High School “rifle team”.. yep, a nice liberal hobby, but was a bad shot. Gun nut. Both sides take comments totally out of context. Look at Biden saying Trump was calling for a "bloodbath" after the election. That was totally out of context as Trump was talking about the auto industry and a flood of cheap imports would cause a "blood bath" in the auto industry. Posters on this site ran with it as well.

Huh, I just looked it up myself and it does appear the donation came from Pittsburg, not Bethel… and there is a Thomas Crooks that lives in Pittsburg… I wonder why the news sources ran with this…
Edit, upon further review, the zip code listed matches Bethel Park, not Pittsburg, so it was probably was the shooter.
It’s like if Trump says, “Republicans need to beat Biden in 2024”, and somehow Democrats tried to say it was a call to physically beat him up.
