I thought the first round or first couple of rounds had slotted values. could be wrong

 

They have an assigned value, but teams some teams look for players that will sign for less than that slot, so they can use the extra money for the next few picks.

 

KC is stockpiling Gators with CAGS with 6th pick

 

Good spot for Cags.... they do not have a 1B in their top 30 prospects. I can see Cags & Pasquantino (who has 4 years of control still) sharing 1B and DH in near future.

I see him going to the rays at 18 maybe at worst he will be 23rd or 24th so probably won’t be coming to Florida.

 

Agree, Cags is going to a great organization in terms of them not having a ton of minor lake talent at his position. Could see him 18 months or 20 months from now and the bigs.
