While I tend to agree. I don't think a single donation of $15 several years ago says very much considering that the shooter registered as a Republican after he made the donation. You would have a much more valid point if the guy had a history of donations to left of center organizations or candidates or even if he made the single donation within the last year.
I would add that when one reposts a video, a Tweet or another social media post he owns the original.
Take it for what it's worth since it's extremely anecdotal, I just saw an interview of a high school classmate of the shooter describing him as the victim of bullying and a social outcast. Seems to fit the profile of a number of "lone wolf" shooters.

Who knows..? Perhaps he registered, like many young adults, the same as his parents. Donating to a cause is taking action based on how you think and feel. Yes/No/Maybe?

Be fair here. They were responding to a direct question. Immunity means just that— no matter how serous the crime, there is immunity for official acts.
