Won’t work anywhere anymore. If you’re on the football team and you’re on scholarship, it counts against football. You can play baseball or run track too, but the scholly counts against the football team.
I'm surprised Cormani was willing to accept the PWO offer. I hope this YOUNG man matures (grows) and it all works out for both sides.
Talked with UF All-American Ahmad Black about what the Gators are getting in Cormani McClain. "This is the best cornerback I’ve ever seen coming out of high school." Nick Del la Torre
Moore, Johnson, Jackson, Grimsley and Cormani are some great athletes at CB that could all be back next year as well. Marshall could have a bounce back season. Most experienced CB. Castell, Denson will be on field as well. Unsure where other young CBs like Teddy Foster, ….fall out? Heard good things about Gates and his recovery from injury. Where will portal transfer Bridges get on field? Should be very competitive room from a talent perspective.
My father was on those Tech teams from 60 thru 63 as a backup QB. Talks about it occasionally. Agree with your comments. Said Bobby Dodd never ran off players the way the Bryant did. Bobby Dodd was a good person and cared about his players a bit more. The total limit between Football and Basketball was being set at 140 scholarships. When that was put in place, Tech felt like they could not compete and left.
Cormani Cormani smh. From TOS: “McClain has been late or absent for several team meetings and workouts. Florida hasn’t come to a decision on how it will handle the matter but it seems to me that everything could be on the table. I’ll update on the situation as much as possible.”
I guess this is why he wasn’t listed as a porential impact player on the cornerback article on the front page of gc
