Cult or victim, I wish you'd make up your mind, hard to keep track of your weak might as well be registered democrat attempts to insult.
Yes, to lamestream democratic socialist communist controlled media. No, not all. Many topflight entertainers are fleeing Hollywood. Yes, but only in blue states. Also, yes to the national teacher's union. Putting both college comments together, yes. Libs have taken over. The only one I can think of who isn't is Elon Musk in the here and now. Yes, to all of the federal alphabet law enforcement being weaponized. Yes, to state courts in New York City, Fulton County Georgia, & DC. Fauci admittedly lied to President Trump and Congress, but no. What you have exceeds TDS. Conservatives didn't desert you. You deserted conservatives.
I don’t disagree but the left is the party of people that have actually been openly discriminated against and persecuted for being gay/black/immigrant/female etc. Their plight is recorded history from slavery and Jim Crow laws to women’s suffrage, to segregation in the military to Anti-Miscegenation Laws, to Government Surveillance and Persecution of LGBT Individuals, to the glacial response to the AIDS crisis to Don't Ask, Don't Tell, to discriminatory housing and hiring practices and so on. That is state legislated creation of actual victims. Completely unlike all the white (and orange) male American titty babies in the GOP who whine incessantly about how unfair life is despite living in a societal system designed by them for their specific benefit. It would be hilarious if it wasn’t so sad.
When I started posting at Too Hot in February I said America was morphing into the USSR. Been.ssyimg it since 2021
Both, they are not mutually exclusive. Unless you've been under a rock since 2015, your orange hero's schtick is grievance, victimhood, how he and his followers are being targeted etc. Snowflakes.
There is truth that many of these groups were actual victims in the past. I am not denying history. The debate is whether they are victims in the present. I came across this video yesterday. I was intrigued by the topic. So I watched it. It is not a direct discussion of this topic, but it does demonstrate how a victimhood mentality becomes a matrix a person lives in and interprets all of their lived experience through often even in very incorrect ways. It is a discussion featuring two African-American men discussing how African-American students can be snowflakes with their victim mentality.
Republican president freed the slaves. Republican congress passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Seems to me you don't know your history as well as you think you do.
Seems like you don't. The 13th Amendment was passed under Andrew Johnson, a Democrat. The congress in 1964 had both chambers controlled by the Democratic Party. It had 66 Democratic Senators and somewhere in the 250s worth of Democratic Congressmen.
Of course they are still victims. They were granted rights in each of those instances begrudgingly by conservatives who fought against it tooth and nail. And they still seek to limit the rights of homosexuals and women.
While I cannot completely speak for him, it's a cult in which its members and especially it's leader claim victimhood. Using the example of chutzpah, Donald Trump is like the man who murders his parents and then asks for mercy because he is an orphan. Donald Trump repeatedly violates the law and then claims that he is the victim of persecution when he is prosecuted and then has the audacity to claim to members of his cult that the DOJ and state prosecutors are going after him to get to them.
Republicans and Democrats switched. Such a tired tactic. Suffice to say CONSERVATIVES have been consistently on the wrong side of history on all of these issues. Who fought to preserve Slavery, Jim Crow laws, women not being able to vote etc etc? It’s always been Conservatives.
President Abraham Lincoln, a republican, freed the slaves with the Emancipation Proclamation. The constitutional amendment came later. We now have a federal holiday that commemorates the proclamation being enforced in the US. Perhaps you have heard of it. It goes by the name of Juneteenth. You are wrong on congress in 1964. The Act was passed by a republican held congress.
From my post in the other thread in which you asked the same question: US crude oil production was at a record level in 2023 and is currently on pace to break that record. U.S. energy production exceeded consumption by record amount in 2023 - U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) U.S. Oil And Gas Production Are Ahead Of Last Year’s Record Pace By the way I used my experience as an anecdotal example. Prices at the pump experienced similar changes everywhere in the US. Biden's recently released one million gallons of gasoline from the Northeast Reserve. Virginia is not one of the states directly affected. ICYMI: “Biden to Release 1 Million Barrels of Gasoline to Reduce Prices at the Pump Ahead of July 4” | The White House
Lol at ETGator disagreeing with my post but not explaining himself. On which social issue I outlined above were conservatives NOT in the wrong? I’ll hang up and listen.
He freed the slaves in the Confederacy. However, that proclamation did not free the slaves in states that remained in the Union (some of which, but not all of which, did it via state law). The constitutional amendment did that. That is not what Juneteenth celebrates. Juneteenth celebrates June 19, 1865, when the federal troops enforced the proclamation in Texas, which was a Confederate state. The President by June 19, 1865 was Andrew Johnson. All slaves were actually freed in all states (notably, Kentucky and Delaware) in December 1865. You are wrong. The Congress in question was the 88th Congress. House Speaker was John McCormack (D-MA). Senate Majority Leader was Mike Mansfield (D-MT). 88th United States Congress - Wikipedia
ETGator is an older fella I believe. Was probably around for desegregation. How did you feel about that when it was happening and please be honest.
Nowhere close to the truth. You stated it as a fact that it went from $5.09 to $3.59 in you usual gas station. (shaking head) Thanks for finally answering though.
The problem with the country right here... just look at the back and forth between the two sides. Arguing over a shit sandwich and just plain shit all the time. Both sides think their opinion is 100% iron clad. Both sides think they own objectice truth. You're both relying on hearsay and second hand information fed to you and you choose to believe whatever side supports what you want to believe. The politicians are getting away with whatever it is you don't like because you're arguing with the wrong people. You aren't arguing with your votes. You constantly bicker with eachother instead of holding the real people accountable. Your dear leaders. Literally just different sides of the same coin.
