From the link: While Florida was top for economy, CNBC’s “overall” ranking took other factors into effect, such as infrastructure, workforce, quality of life, cost of doing business, technology and innovation, and business friendliness. Florida ranked 2nd for workforce, 16th for tech and innovation, 25th for cost of doing business, 28th for business friendliness, 35th for infrastructure and 38th for quality of life. Overall, Virginia topped CNBC’s list for the best states for business in 2024, followed by North Carolina, Texas, Georgia, and Florida at 5th.
Certain people equate inflation w economy and try desperately to hammer that point home. Well . . . Inflation rises in March: Florida has highest inflation in U.S. Floridians battle 5th highest inflation rate in the nation Here's why Florida is the state with the highest inflation rate Florida #7 for Inflation
Wow, to listen to most TH libbies, Florida is filled with dummies, and red states are an economic drain. You libbies ought to get out more, stop reading the same libbie news sources and most importantly…stay out of our beautiful, free state!!!
DeSantis needs to find a way to lower all insurance/s and property taxes in Florida. The rest of our economy will be fine.
Someone change this thread title to North Carolina is the second best state for business! Or Texas #50 in Quality of Life.
Interesting that quality of life is inversely related to business friendly. Almost as if businesses take advantage of workers wherever they can.
On a comparative basis far more red states are a net economic drain, Florida being one of (and the largest) exception. https://smartasset.com/financial-advisor/states-most-dependent-federal-government-2023 But the irony of your extolling Florida’s freedom while at the same time telling people to stay out made me LOL.
Yes, excellent news, not that our lefties here will accept it or acknowledge it. Just yesterday, one of our lefties was expounding on how bad DeSantis is for Florida and how much better the Free State of Florida would be under liberal leadership. I'm not sure how much better the state can do than having the #1 state economy in the nation for 2 consecutive years as ranked by CNBC. Good job Governor DeSantis.
Just having a little fun…try looking at the board from a neutral pov, the libbies can be quite pompous and sanctimonious. So news like this is interesting and contrary to most of the left’s beliefs.
DeSantis for VP, fingers crossed. At this point, he can be a bigger help in Washington. Yes, to DeSantis 2028 too.
