My mom has Alzheimers and has been in a memory care unit for 4 years. Thanks for the education. She’s 69 and had early onset at 63 so hopefully that fits your definition and I can now go on with my life knowing I was accurate for you.
He wasnt on a teleprompter. We was responding to a question asking if he had confidence Harris could do the job. Its clear he isnt being "propped" up. Dude feels like he can do it. He was solid on policy and detail yesterday. He is clearly suffering the effects of aging though and I dont see how he gets voters over that.
Sorry to hear. My mother in law is a very similar timeline but she has plain dementia not the Alzheimers version. She really only talks nonsense - just adding filler statements into conversations others have "you know that's right", "arent they just so sweet" but has no connection to the conversation. Physically she is as functional as a 5-year-old - for instance she can feed herself but cant prepare food for herself. Can get ready for bed but wont initiate going to bed. Biden isnt really exhibiting those kind of issues. He is demonstrating the loss of focus from being old - in my opinion.
When will the press demand Trump do a press conference and answer complex foreign policy issues? It would be much easier for him because he could just answer, "Whatever Putin wants." Biden did very well with these questions other than the names thing which really doesn't matter at all.
If Biden's error confusing the name of Zelensky with Putin is sufficient evidence to disqualify him from the office of the presidency based on cognitive decline, shouldn't the same standard also apply to his presumptive opponent? Indeed, in 2018, while Trump was still serving as President, he introduced Marillyn Hewson, then CEO of Lockheed Martin, as “Marillyn Lockheed” at a White House event. At another White House meeting the following year, Trump famously referred to Apple CEO Tim Cook as “Tim Apple.” Last September, Trump appeared to mix up Biden with former President Barack Obama—not for the first or last time. The same month, he stumbled over the distinction between former President George W. Bush and his brother Jeb Bush, who ran against Trump in the 2016 Republican primary. In October, Trump called Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán “the leader of Turkey.” And in November, he said, apparently confusing the population of North Korea or the leader of China, “Kim Jong Un leads 1.4 billion people, and there is no doubt about who the boss is. And they want me to say he’s not an intelligent man.”Trump Is Also Bad With Names, Biden Defenders Point Out
Ding, ding, ding. This is what I said earlier in the thread, but for some reason, mainstream media NEVER mentions it it when it comes to Trump, yet Biden does it and it’s all they can talk about for weeks. If being old and mixing up names is a disqualifying factor, Trump should have been eliminated a long time ago, especially considering all the other baggage he comes with. Trump is now older than when Biden ran in 2020 and is showing clear signs of mental decline that will only get worse as he continues to age. The two totally different standards these two are held to by the media is just asinine at this point. Trump is all over the Epstein logs that are coming out, yet crickets, but Biden has a few mental gaffes (that Trump also regularly has) and that’s all they can talk about.
I think mainstream media mentions Trump's gaffes at length - George Washington took the airports at Valley Forge, etc. I dont think his voters care. Lies, gaffes, alternate facts are just accepted. Biden's voters seemingly have some standards they would like to keep. They have only been on Biden about his gaffes since his debate disaster. It was quite an alarming performance.
They talk about it with Trump and then move on from it a day later. Biden does it and it goes on for weeks. Keep bringing that shit up and ram it home like they do with Biden so some get the point.
I agree the right wing narrative for 4 years has been about Biden being lost, when that was not the case. Lots of doctored and cut videos ridiculously out of context. He was lost in that debate however.
Sentencing has been delayed. Do you not read anything? Aren't you concerned that if you don't read anything, you won't KNOW anything? Should you possibly not be posting on topics you know nothing about? Like politics....
Yes, Biden is too old. But Trump is almost the same age, he just says his lies, mistakes and bullshit with conviction. Trump just raises his voice when he gets confused or clueless- which is quite frequently. But Trump never KNEW anything about being POTUS in the first place. Plus Trump is a convicted felon, adjudicated rapist, lying, adulterous traitor. Just your type, it seems.
He answered policy questions well. If someone asked Trump to explain foreign policy it would be like my dog trying to tie a knot.
" I know more about foreign policy than anyone, I'm a very smart guy " then some rant about witch hunts and " shy-nah ".
I think the issue with Trump is he says and does so much crazy shit, the media really can’t keep up. Probably by design. Id still say Biden brought this on himself with the debate performance. Neither guy had much substance, hell if there was some debate scorer scoring “facts” then it may as well have been 0-0. The issue with Biden is his presentation was alarmingly close to 0 as well.
