And yet, it is easily the better choice. Life's all about choices. Sometimes, you have to pick between shitty options. End of the day, it's still an easy choice for me.
At least the Democratic party is facing the fact that Biden is not a fit candidate, even if Biden is denying it and to this point his term has been successful. The alternative in the Republican party is to bury head in sand - and he's a convicted felon.
The country takes a look at Biden, then goes over a cliff with Trump. Go figure. Democracy going out not with a bang but a whimper.
Perhaps it's you who should rethink your risibly obvious manipulative attempt to shame or embarrass @VAg8r1 into silence by telling him he's "embarrassing [him]self." Then labeling / slurring / insulting the Democrat political machine, calling it 'Chinese communist' by using the Chicom appellation. Closely followed by such drama ... periods following each word. Then "Oliver sudden."(?) How original. Though readers of the forum are glad you no longer post using annoyingly numerous multiple sizes and types of font in two or more bright colors accompanied by too many exclamation points as you once did. At least ya got that goin' for ya. Pure projection. Your post indicates it is perhaps you who seeks to assume the role of puppet master? You're certainly not attempting to have a reasonable dialogue.
It's their desperate plan to keep power like and totalitarian regime does. Anyone voting for this is not voting for a Constitutional Republic... nor are they mistakenly voting for a democracy.
In a totalitarian regime, people are not allowed to criticize their party leader, openly. For the sake of brevity, I’m not going to get into all the details of a totalitarian regime, but there are a lot of missing characteristics that would be required to label the current Democratic Party as such. If we are going to use specific terms, then let’s use them right.
Yep, still waiting for the storm troopers to come knock my door down for saying Biden looked like a nursing home patient at the debate. Totalitarian indeed.
I just want to note the OP did not say which Tuesday the dam would break. I am getting concerned it may be Tuesday November 5th.
Clooney gave Obama a call and was not talked out of penning the NYT opinion piece. If Joe pulls through this it will be a sign from God that he loves Joe... or the work of the devil, not sure. POLITICO Playbook - POLITICO Before Hollywood icon and Democratic donor GEORGE CLOONEY published his buzzy and brutal NYT op-ed yesterday calling on Biden to step aide as the nominee, we’re told he reached out to former President BARACK OBAMA to give him a heads-up. The two men, who are friendly, both attended the L.A. fundraiser Clooney referenced in his piece, where the actor said he’d beheld a diminished Biden and that the leader he interacted with was “the same man we all witnessed at the debate.” While Obama did not encourage or advise Clooney to say what he said, he also didn’t object to it, we’re told from people familiar with their exchange. The lack of pushback is an eye-popping revelation given that the former president was one of the first big voices defending Biden following his abysmal debate performance (while many of his former aides have been some of the incumbent’s biggest critics).
I think it's great that this is being debated and discussed out in the open by his own party. Whether President Biden stays in the race or drops out, I'm just glad that he's being challenged and has to defend his position in a mostly respectful manner. I think that successfully defending his candidacy is an important test for the President, in-and-of-itself. If he survives this, then it would at least confirm he has the political skill and will left in him. As I've said before, I think President Biden should retire because at some point, it's time to relax and enjoy the final phase of your life. While I don't buy the narrative that he can't do the job anymore, he clearly is on the verge, and why not get someone fresh in there. The country will survive with another candidate. I'd like to see another Republican candidate besides former President Trump also, but there is no chance of that happening.
Not all totalitarian regimes are tied to a single person (dictator). Single party does the trick just fine. Eg--when Fidel Castro died, nothing changed. When Raul Castro died--the end of the Castro's reign--nothing changed. There are plenty such examples. Your aspiring uniparty doesn't avoid totalitarian aspirations, by hanging it's useful tool du jure out to dry, after his utility has been exhausted. It just underscores the fungibility and disposability of human beings in their view of governance. ALL HAIL THE CHICOM PUPPET PARTY!!! (^^^just for you @lacuna Lol! PS--I just haven't figured out how to blow up font from my cell phone).
How very astute of you. Did you perchance notice that you were dissecting a mirror reflection? Just wondering....
Have you not noticed people in Trumps circle of friends suddenly going to jail? Yeah, it's happening...
Seems to have been a quick slide in Biden's abilities from Spring to Summer. I'm sure he will get better. Angry and stunned Democrats blame Biden’s closest advisers for shielding public from full extent of president’s decline | CNN Politics Even before Biden made remarks that night, whispers of concern rippled through the audience at the Peacock Theater about the president who had just arrived from a long flight from Italy. Some of the biggest donors at the $30 million fundraising event, who had waited in line to take pictures with Biden, expressed unease at how the president looked and carried himself. “He was less cogent than usual,” said one attendee, who was surprised that during a smaller meeting with donors before the main event, Biden barely spoke. Instead, this person said, he left virtually all of the talking to former President Barack Obama, which struck some guests as unusual for a loquacious politician like Biden. Biden’s appearance in California struck attendees as starkly different from a fundraising gala he attended in March at Radio City Music Hall in New York, one Democrat guest told CNN, when Biden appeared on stage with Obama and former President Bill Clinton. “There is a marked difference in the president from the spring to the summer,” a senior Democrat told CNN. “He’s just not the same.”
