Project 2025 is such a stupid, horrible idea even Trump has disavowed it.

Same bullshit he pulled when he claimed he had never heard of David Duke. Although in this case there is ample evidence he knows damn well what Project 2025 is all about and who is pushing it. FOS as usual.

I stated earlier that Trump has a plan. He did not disavow all Heritage is doing, just said parts are abhorrent to him without stating which parts. It isn't Trump's plan so it doesn't matter except for having a list of available and vetted employees to go to, see his SCOTUS list from the 2016 election. Trump intends to gut the weaponized deep state. You can take that to the bank.

Lefties here always attack conservative sources, but the lefty in the video is as insane as The Young Turks who are part of the democratic party. What amazes me is how any of you can take your insights from a fool like this.

Has there ever been a negative thing written about Trump that you thought was true? If not, the problem extends beyond the media.

So says you who is voting for a serial liar, puts climate over the American people with his energy policies, antisemite, anti-Israel government policies, refuses to enforce the nation's immigration laws which is not only unlawful, it is a violation of his oath of office, disregards SCOTUS rulings because he wants to, see student debt forgiveness, refuses to protect the SCOTUS judges after inciting violence to SCOTUS judges, weaponizes all levels of the federal government and members of the judicial branch to attack his opponents, see lawfare against Trump and his supporters, and he is so woke that he believes the rights of government over children outweighs the rights of parents. You believe in an upside-down world that is going to be changed in November whether you like it or not. This is the US, not Europe and certainly not France.

Absolutely, he is Mr. Mean Tweets. I'd like him to be a bit quieter and more presidential, see saying bullshit at rallies to emphasis some points. BTW, he has been doing a pretty good job of remaining quiet while Biden and the democratic party is infighting to the point of destroying any chance to win the 2024 election. When your opponent is imploding, let them do it.

If it is written by the lamestream media, no, I don't believe most of it as they are the right arm of the democratic party, see Pravda in Russia.

To the victor belongs the spoils. I wonder how similar Jackson’s populism is to trump?

First off, you keep talking about what I don't like. Just so we're clear, what I like is being right. My positions, on this thread, are not based on like or dislike of the bureacracy.

You seem like a fairly intelligent person. You're very articulate and an excellent debater. Nevertheless, I find your arguments here to be unconvincing. I didn't go back and re-read everything you and I have said on this thread so forgive me, and correct me, if get any of your positions wrong.

I believe that an action, law, or choice needs to be judged on its own merits NOT based on whether or not it can be undone at a later date. I believe that the ability undo an action can certainly alter the potential consequences of the action but it does NOT alter the nature of the action. A thief who returns a stolen item doesn't magically become a borrower. The fact that UF fired Muschamp doesn't alter the quality of the decision to hire him in the first place. And, in my opinion, the theoretical ability to repeal a law that undermines our democracy doesn't change the fact that the law undermines our democracy.

Now, the idea that congress can undermine our democracy in one fell swoop but can't do it incrementally...It's true that there are some things in life, and government, that can only be done in a single step. I don't believe that undermining our democracy is one of those things. I think we will just have to differ on that point.

In closing, I won't say unequivocally that I'm done with this discussion but I think we've reached the point where further discussion of this is not going to be productive.

Friend, you argued that the protections federal employees benefit from are undemocratic. You tried to defend the President implementing a policy that would attempt to unilaterally end those protections as more democratic. I pointed out that those protections are in place because the democratic process put them in place and the democratic process remains able to remove them whenever there is the political will to do it. The President unilaterally removing them is not a triumph of democracy, as you tried to argue. It is the opposite.

You have yet to seriously counter these points. Personally, I think these protections serve the cause of democracy by ensuring that the federal government will function well and be capable of implementing the policy reforms of each new administration. You might disagree. But our disagreement on whether those protections are or aren't good does not change the fact that they are not undemocratic. They are a result of the democratic process and remain in place because of the democratic process.
Hey, you may well be able to prove me wrong by showing how Congress can incrementally undermine our democracy. But that's going to be through direct attacks on the electoral process. You are not going to persuade me that protections for federal employees threaten our democracy or are undemocratic.

So you're likely right about further discussion. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

trump is trying to distance himself from Project 2025. He says he doesn’t know much about it. Yet there are over 25 people who worked in the trump administration that also worked on Project 2025. His name appears over 300 times in the document. Yeah, he doesn’t know much about it.

Project 2025 would require every high school aged child going to public (but not private) schools to take the military entry test.

Looks like American kids would be drafted and sent to fight for Russia vs. Ukraine or NATO countries.

Gay furry hackers to the rescue...this should make for some interesting reading once it has all been parsed

“Gay furry hackers” attack Heritage Foundation and release sensitive data related to Project 2025 (msn.com)

A group of self-described “gay furry hackers” claim to have stolen two gigabytes of data from conservative think tank the Heritage Foundation. The hackers, known as SiegedSec, stole and released the data in retaliation to the think tanks’ ‘Project 2025’ - a list of policy proposals to be enacted almost immediately after Donald Trump’s inauguration, should he win the election.
    ..............................
SiegedSec got its hands on the data on July 2, which (according to CyberScoop) contains information created between 2007 and November 2022 relating to a right-wing media website known as The Daily Signal, which has ties to the Heritage Foundation.

A member of the group who goes by “vio” told CyberScoop the hacktivist group launched the attack to provide “transparency to the public regarding who exactly is supporting heritage (sic),” and that the data contains “full names, email addresses, passwords, and usernames” of those who have interacted with Heritage.

Some of the data stolen includes US government email addresses, vio says. “This itself can have an impact to heritage’s (sic) reputation and it’ll especially push away users in positions of power.”

Trump lying again about this, and it's no problem with half the electorate, because we're in Trumpy Liar World.

Otoh, it's distinctly possible that he doesn't know that because he doesn't actually know what this even is, any more than some disinterested person who glanced at a headline would. It's not like Trump cares about policy, helping people or the country...

Trump claims not to know who is behind Project 2025. A CNN review found at least 140 people who worked for him are involved
