The final decision will come around July 7th. The decision, since Parker hasn’t met the Olympic qualifying standard, doesn’t just depend on other U.S. runners but also several international competitors.

Her chance are really good, but she still is short both time wise and point wise in the ranking system that is used… however several runners ahead of Parker are either injured or considering opting out for other reasons.

What an incredible year for Parker. The races she has put together over a little over a year are amazing. For a 21 year old distance runner to make the Olympic team is impressive. She should be hitting her peak at the Brisbane games in 2032

What a thrill to see Parker rise to the challenge against much more experienced runners. It will be fun to watch her continue to make strides (pun intended) in her career.

Elle St. Pierre, in an interview posted on YouTube, says that she will only run the 1500 at the Olympics. Parker moves up to third and has the qualifying time, so she will definitely be in the 5K in Paris. Hopefully the 10K also.

I’m guessing if she qualifies she will pick one. The 10,000 has 2 rounds in the Olympics. That is a tough double would think she would concentrate on the one she feels she would have the most success in.

From what I have heard Parker will compete in the Olympics, but only in the 10K.

Yes that is accurate. She chose the 10 over the 5, which I think is the right choice. Amazing at 21 she has a choice. She should be hitting her peak at the 2032 Brisbane games :)

Not just a lot of cows, but highland cows. She really like highland cows!
