Not sure what you are experiencing in your local purchases, but I'm told by the grocery shopper in my household that prices are up significantly at Walmart and up by a lesser level at Publix which was already higher than Walmart. I can report that I waited to fill my car up with gas until after the Independence Day weekend. I paid 10 cents a gallon more after the holiday than before the holiday. I know this is our own personal local snapshot, but we could be in the middle of an uptick in July inflation.
Sticker shock on groceries wore off on me about 9 months ago. There was really bad inflation for a period but it seems to have stabilized. At least where I live in VA.
Inflation is the most egregious form of taxation on the lower and middle class. Thank goodness Manchin held out and didn’t let that last stimulus bill go through. Inflation would have been worse.
“The current inflation rate is 3.3%, with shelter and motor vehicle insurance still major contributors.” https://www.bankrate.com/banking/federal-reserve/latest-inflation-statistics/
oil companies are notorious for jacking up prices on a seasonal basis and in advance of big holidays. Profits and shit. Was there a corresponding jump in crude?
Used motorcycle prices in our area are dropping. Of course, they increased significantly during the first 3 years of Bidenomics. Just missed a fantastic deal on a 2021 Kawasaki Z900rs cafe. However, I did come across a pristine, stock 2003 z1000 with only 21K miles ….. a beautiful orange needing some blue accents.
I just bought a used guitar online for an incredible price. ZOMG, Joe Biden has slain inflation! Also. Ya just gotta respect OPs Trumpian strategy of spamming an incessant stream of bullshit. It's like Trump's criminality: designed to subconsciously just wear you down. Almost feel guilty about constantly having to call it out. Almost. But not.
My 2019 Honda Accord 4 DR LX dropped $1700 in value over the last 3 months. It is now just below what I paid new for it 5 years ago in July 2019. Admittedly, I keep the car in outstanding condition. I could probably sell it for what I paid for it. I'm glad I haven't been in the car buying market with Bidenomics wildly increasing car prices, a product that should be a depreciating asset.
So what you're saying is Biden let you drive your car for 5 years for free. You should be thanking him
No, it hasn't been a good thing to have experienced the highest inflation the US has had in over 40 years. I've also seen the used car market correct downward only to go back up again too.
Right? Global inflation caused by a once in a century pandemic and they can’t stop stammering about “Bidenomics”
This. The times we live in are stupefying. The way Americans fall for sound bites and jingoistic sloganeering. It's literally straight out of the movie Idiocracy, which is a MUST WATCH for anyone who hasn't seen it.
