Trump killed the bill. He needed border security to remain his #1 issue for spreading fear, anger snd hatred among potential voters. Notice how he NEVER mentions "caravans" heading toward the border except in the few weeks before an election.
I just listened to a podcast done by the freakonomics guys about how are party system is a duopoly most interested in maintaining the duopoly. It was interesting. The theory of the guy they interviewed was that the parties didn’t care who won as long as it was either D or R.

JMHO, why “pull the plug” on Biden? She is the de facto next president if Biden resigns during his second term. There is no reason to replace Biden with Harris directly. If anyone would prefer Harris, vote Biden-Harris. If you prefer another candidate than Harris, that is the only reason to force a change.
I'd say she causes us less misery than the convicted felon who is awaiting sentencing and may still face JAIL TIME........who YOU are happy to be voting for. (and never mind the three trials that our corrupt judiciary is preventing from happening, for which your political hero should already be incarcerated.)
This is entirely too rational for the American voting public. Folks won't see past Biden. If he's the candidate, it's an almost guaranteed loss.
While I understand your point, IMHO, there are many voters, who are very unhappy with the choice of an 81 year old man who's showing his age or a 78 year old man who can't remember who he's running against and argues with himself about whether he prefers death by electrocution or shark attack if his boat sinks. Many will be relieved to vote for an intelligent 59 year old woman.
He’s running the show now… and doing a damn good job under the circumstances. if it’s just about the election, Harris needs to come out and show unity of purpose.
No one who would vote for Biden-Harris 4 years ago should bail. Moderate independents in 6 states need a reminder of what is at stake. Personal freedoms are on the cutting room floor.
